If he does the 360 behind the back dunk during next years midnight madness I'm going to blow up.

If he does that in the Pat Dome - I am going to be busting out of my seat all over the place.

No disrespect to any other recruits, but this seems like the first signing that has people legitimately excited. Mason has had 2 standout recruiting classes in the past 15 years, the Folarin/Thomas/Vaughan class and the KRAM class of 2008. In both cases these boards and our fanbases knew the names and followed the hype before these guys got to campus. Boyd seems like the first guy in the DP era who might match that excitement level. Again, plenty of other nice players who may wind up punching above their weight class, but this kid is likely one we see a lot more Youtube videos of before he ever gets here.

If the status quo holds through next summer, there will be one hell of a competition for freakiest athlete on the team between Boyd and Temara.

Maybe it's simply the difference between being 6-5 and 6-9 -- and Luke was a great athlete -- but I don't remember him being able to get up quite like Troy can.
