If you are talking about the building on the same side of 123 across University Dr., those are private condos.Hey Pikapp... what's being built across from the Field House? Is that housing? Part of the school, or commercial? I was surprised by the cranes over there. I assume whatever it is will be multiple floors high.
Brian is correct. Replacing the units that were thereIf you are talking about the building on the same side of 123 across University Dr., those are private condos.
Looks like it's a multi-family residential project by the Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority. Fairfax County has lots of information available via their online GIS system: Fairfax LDSHey Pikapp... what's being built across from the Field House? Is that housing? This is awesome, need more of this around campus!I believe there is off campus housing across Mason on Roberts Road - I heard its a lot like the Harrison community at JMU and similar ones at VA tech and Liberty -- its condo housing built specifically for students.
Yea, it's a small brick office building that's been vacant for years. Big eye sore as there is broken glass still around the building and boarded up windows. It's on the street where the great Peruvian chicken place is.Slow day at work so I went thumbing through some BOV reports. Looks like Mason closed a deal for the property directly across the street from the Arlington Campus. Considering there's a very small car dealership right next to the new property, it wouldn't shock me if Mason buys that too. There's some further real estate acquisitions apparently in train that weren't disclosed in the reports.
It's the one on the corner, not the small one in between the corner and the dealership.Yea, it's a small brick office building that's been vacant for years. Now that makes sense that the University bought that spec of land since it's been vacant for years and hasn't been gobbled up by developers just like every little inch in Arlington to be turned in to apartments or a Starbucks yet.
The small used car dealership place is across from this building on the same side of street. Seems this dealership is waiting for some developer/company to buy out their place so probably holding out for Mason to purchase as well.
Seems they have been sitting on it for years. Any drawings or mentions of what they may do with it in the report?

No mention of what they'll do with it. Doubt they even know.
Yeah, I believe it used to be a feline veterinary clinic that closed a few years before the Covid. As long as they don't mess with El Pollo Rico, I'm all for them buying the entire block.Yea, it's a small brick office building that's been vacant for years.
