So...one season done with the videoboard, what did we think?

I thought ath dept did a pretty decent job with it, but i would like to see some changes including more stats on the corners.

Could be better. Was kind of surprised Boyd's highlights didn't make the pregame intro yesterday. Also, not a ton of replays get shown. Maybe a big one during a media timeout.

There were replays a few times yesterday during live play, but I do agree about live stats need to be better. I think they need to put team stats on two of the screens and individual on the other two.

I thought they did a good job with it. More replays would be helpful. I fear that putting stats up there will make the game action even smaller.

Specific to last night, I couldnt see the National Anthem from where i was. Thankfully, the video board showed the painter/singer. That was amazing.

I agree that something needs to be done about the stats. It always takes me a minute to figure out the foul situation specifically. Maybe just names on the stats screens instead of numbers?

Also, the sound system needs improvement. Opening night, everything seemed loud and clear. After that, I couldn’t hear what the hell the P.A. announcer was saying nor the videos during timeouts.

The gold room needs to be made bigger.

Would love to see that balcony attached to it be turned into an actual attached room that could be used as the gold room. Doesn’t seem to serve much purpose. I’m sure it isn’t really cost effieicent but it’d be nice to have an actual room and to take the damn curtain down.

I love the idea but can't see it happening because they use the East balcony for concerts for people who want to smoke, and that way they dont have to worry about people exiting and re-entering from another door.

I'd love to see them extend the Gold Room to the balcony and either they can have heated tents or shrink that balcony somehow. I just doubt expecting anything like that is realistic. They just lack hospitality space except downstairs.

I'll sacrifice the smokers for better room for donors. But I realize it isn't happening. Plus I'd rather not piecemeal small upgrades to the arena and burn cash when it looks like we're in the real early stages of looking at a new home.

Supposedly the cost of a new renovation is preferred, from what I heard months ago. And yeah I’d prefer to sacrifice the smokers too.

I'd imagine the extensive renovations we would need would be pushing up against the cost of a new place.

Mason just emailed a survey about the basketball team and facilities... My answer to the any suggestions about Mason basketball was this

"
If you do a T-shirt toss please give them to people that can throw the t shirts more than 1 row into the stands. we sit 10 rows up center court and only a ladies lacrosse player reached our general vicinity all year.
Have one section be for people that are trying to have fun and get loud and move all the elderly to the opposite side of the court. Too many people asking loud supportive fans to be quiet because their hearing aids are buzzing"

I think it's set up for people who actually pay to go to the games rather than those who are getting paid to be there.

Hah, the kids who sit near us (3rd row) have a streak going of consecutive games getting a t shirt. I quickly got a gold, black and white shirt within the first few games of the season which was awesome because I no longer had to try to catch shirts after that!

But, I agree with you - bring back TSG and the TSGun!
