Almost like a repeat of the URI-MD game... both URI and Mason started out strong, but in both games as the 1st half winded down, Maryland turned on the defense and offense and took double digit leads

Reminded me of vcu last year at home. Played them tough and then it all fell apart.

lets see if it becomes a 30+ point loss or if the team battles for the next 20.

Agreed, but Having your entire offense rely on one single player to beat a defensive scheme isn’t a viable plan, for obvious reasons that we are currently experiencing.

True. But it also didn’t help having Miller and AJ in foul trouble. Having Kier, Miller and AJ all in the game against a zone will help a lot.

Yeah we got baited into taking some bad shots that were falling early but aren’t anymore. Refs calling small little taps isn’t helping. Rebounding started good but fell apart. Thinking that they’re getting gassed playing a six man rotation.

Happy with how well we played and attacked for a large part of the first half, but their zone really threw us off. Maybe it's Maryland's arrogance, but I'm surprised it took them so long to zone us. We just don't have the shooters to beat it from the outside or the post players to capitalize inside.

It will be interesting to see how we adapt in the second half. There's a lot to be learned against a very good team on the road regardless of the score or outcome.
