Student section was bare but the rest of the arena looked pretty covered. They also draped over more sections in the corners.

Yup I figured it was due to holidays. Happy to see reg ppl come out though. I sit behind the visitors bench and there were plenty of sad JMU fans after the game.

Yea, student turnout will be trash for the vcu game. Unfortunate, because I know that's a game students look forward to going to. Valentines Day 2012, Sherrod's game winning 3 - heads almost rolled in the parking lot after that one.

two things that should NEVER happen again:

1. The woman working for EBA at the press entrance was wearing a JMU shirt. Good for her to have the stones to wear it. Bad on the EBA and Mason staff for not making her take it off.

2. During player intros, there was a guy on the court next to the team wearing a VA Tech sweatshirt. unless that guy is funding the new practice facility on his own, WTF?!

They should have been dragged into the concourse and beaten in front of a video camera and made to strip down to their underwear and thrown into the cold.

Good lord - no weakness and no mercy.

Interesting that they don't use 'Madison' as a stand-alone whereas, we will use 'Mason'.
(still wish we'd update our brand identity to no longer allow the star as a stand-alone logo, but that's for a different day)

I don't mind the patriot but I'm not a huge fan of the half and half face thing. It would look better with just a yellow face but knowing Mason and their diversity boner they probably don't want anyone thinking he's white or Asian.
