Turnovers, missed free throws, missed chances close to the basket, and Otis still MIA are the difference. Miracles can happen, but it doesn't look good down 9 at the half. Come on guys!

On a positive note, we could easily be down by 29 if Cinci was playing well.

I think Otis is stressed out. The guy looks like a shell of what he has been. Lost his confidence. GM is going no where unless they can get double digits from Otis.

Whats with the slew of turnovers?
This is just a major mis match.

Lets hope they learn something.

All these allyoops makes me think fondly back on Coach L teams that almost always had 3-4 of them per game. Feels like it's been forever since I saw us throw an allyoop on a backcut or something.....like once we have one guy going to the basket, nobody else crashes for support. I guess that's back to the lack of size on the court though.

On a side note, I'm wearing my GMU socks tonight, but they don't seem to be helping.

The lack of outside shooting ability on our team is brutal, especially when we don't have big guys that can pound it down low. So we have short guards forever trying to go to the basket even against Cinci with three big guys always seemingly defending down low.

Would be nice if this team had a consistent jump-shooter or two.

Experienced guards and 3 point shooting is usually what equalizes games like these. We’ve got the experienced guards but they aren’t neither playing smart nor hitting their shots.

By the way, the last time we had a forward who didn’t struggle against bigger, more athletic players, was Will Thomas (Shevin Thompson doesn’t count because no one was ever bigger than him, and he somehow managed to struggle against smaller, less athletic forwards). I wouldn’t necessarily be too hard on Reuter for not owning Cincy’s frontcourt.

oh I"m not being hard on Reuter for that. He looks pretty small against Cincy's front court. He can't control his size. The only GM player I can think of that was about his size who could somehow really PLAY with real big guys down low was back in the George Evans days (and Reuter is about 40lbs heavier than Evans, according to the internet). Evans had a lot of unconventional shots and moves to mitigate his size disadvantage though.

Man, Cincy blows, but their guys, as usual, are tough.

G Mas players, for the most part, are just plain soft. Nothing to see with that bunch.

They belong in the CAA.

I have been watching college hoops for a a long time. I am trying to think of a 3 year senior starter regressing more that Otis for any team ever. I am struggling to think of one.

I don’t think people here realize how abnormal this is.

And not just on the offensive end. He's been getting schooled all season on defense. Guys seem to just blow by him, which didn't used to happen as much, and he's less active with his hands going for steals it seems.

Hard to tell if he's just frustrated, unmotivated, or something else is wrong. As a Senior, he can't really be happy with how crappy everyone else is playing too, especially some of these guys who we all THOUGHT might break out this year....Mar in particular.

All this team does is dribble drive with guys that aren’t nearly talented enough to pull it off.

Other than Reuter, all of our tall guys are skinny stick figures who can't body up anyone, much less actual PFs....

What the hell is wrong with Otis? With as bad a Cincinnati has been on Offense we “should” be in this game. Unfortunately we are worse offensively.

How is it possible this team is WORSE than they were last year. I haven't wanted to say it, but I am...does Otis have a substance abuse problem?
