I appreciate your positive (and realistic) take but, while I am somehow still in wait-and-see mode, I can absolutely see the point of the anti-DP crowd. The way the individuals on this team play doesn't matter. You guys can go down the list and complain about what each player did wrong. You can complain about the coaching. All that would be erased and not matter if the individuals played together, but right now, for whatever reason, they are not. If we were healthy and focused, this team can be as good as anyone else in this league. We saw that back in January when the team was clicking. But these are kids. Playing a game that is difficult. It didn't work this season.
Let's thank Otis, Jaire, Nick and Logan. Let's not get tied up in the bitterness and enjoy what's left of this season and look forward to the next, because it might just be a great one.
If the coach has had several years to put his stamp on the program, has an extra team-bonding trip to Spain, is personally responsible for setting certain expectations, and can't get the team to play together, what is he getting paid for?
I know this is an oversimplification and I'm not eben saying I agree with it. But I see it and could be convinced to believe it
