I know it's good for us and our seeding for vcu to beat URI, but I can never, ever, under any circumstances, pull for vcu.

Think of it this way, pulling for them now gives us a better chance of beating them in the tournament

Rather than being angry and motivated from the loss, hopefully URI is deflated after essentially eliminating themselves from at large consideration.

Looking more closley, URI is deflated b/c they know their at large chances are done. They might try in the A10 tourney, but they seem to have checked out alittle after losing to dayton.

I was definitively initially guilty of that in their win over Duke and initially in 2011, but then was definitely rooting against them against Kansas. Thought was, couple NCAA wins is good for image of league, future consideration for at large births, future potential quality win opportunities and shared revenue.

But them equaling our final 4 feat, and maintaining their success has not been helpful, obviously. I've learned my lesson and will clearly never root for them again (though I didn't mind them beating FSU in 2011 as a Miami fan).

I can't believe how excited I am for Saturday. I haven't felt this way in February in so long. God it feels good to watch a good basketball team again. And we're only getting better.
