Dayton is probably as bad matchup for us as anyone in the A10. SLU is built similarly. But if we’re beating teams where we can’t put Greene or Kier on the best player, we’re in good shape.I know SLU was/is the favorite, they're talented, and they had a decent OOC, but they have not played us, Davidson, vcu or Dayton. The only two teams they've played in the top HALF of the conference are URI and Duq. They just lost to Duq and beat URI by 7. At home. As a reminder, we blew RI out on the road.
In fact, the only double digit win in conference was an 11 pt. home win over St. Joe. We beat them by 25. On the road.
We have 4 common opponents. All wins for both squads. Their margin of victory was 24. Ours was 50.
I know we have a lot of time to blow this season, and some teams we don't match up really well with, but are we sure they are the class of the conference?

Spot on with Calixte making those two FT’s being huge. You could see and hear the entire bench erupt when that second one fell. Once those went in I knew it was fate but then their PA announcer played Livin’ On A Prayer during one of the final timeouts, after that I knew it was meant to be.Awesome awesome win. My observations:
*This team can compete with anyone with the D they are playing, even when they were struggling early (which seemed to me to be an issue with rotating out of double teams) they made adjustments and locked down UD at home.
*Have kept opponents to 68 points or less in last nine games since allowing Vermont to score 72 (7 of the 9 have been 63 pts or less)
*I think Calixte hitting those 2 FT's was the play of the game
*Can't believe those idiots played living on a prayer just before UD's last possession with 15 seconds left
*My two year old needs to learn not to clap and cheer when the crowd does when we are watching away games on tv (but he is getting much better at chanting defense and putting his hands up during FT's)
*Let's go URI!!!
I mean, not saying they didn’t contribute. It just wasn’t their game-long assignment to shut him down.Hey, Greene boxed out Cunningham on the last three miss that sealed the game for us, prevented Cunningham from getting the offensive rebound and Reuter seals the game for us.
