Losing Cressler was a huge, huge blow. It could be a struggle for this squad to score. We don't have an established outside shooter, unless Hatter becomes consistent and stays healthy. We can't bank on Pat Smith until we see him on a college court.
I also have heard (admittedly unconfirmed hearsay) that Cornell got beaten badly by Marist in the closed scrimmage and generally looked like a bunch of headless chickens running around. While I would normally take that with a grain of salt, we've heard the program described as such too often over the last few years to simply dismiss it.
This is now indisputably Bill's program. There are his kids. He owns it...no excuses.
I hope we shock some people this year, but I'm skeptical.

Would agree this is Bill's program and this is 110% his team. Not a single kid on the roster that he did not recruit.
And I don't think he can use injuries as an excuse again because you only get to use it so much.
This is Bill's team, he knows it, Cornell admin knows it, and as Bill told the Sun, he is ready to see how everything unfolds.
Everyone is skeptical, how can you not be given the disaster of last year?

Don't know anything about the Cornell v Marist scrimmage but I do know that Marist new head coach Mike Maker can flat out coach. Good luck to CU this year.

The blog definitely did not deny any upsets or disasters in the scrimmage, so I'd be one to think that the original poster is correct.
And, if I am correct in that assumption, and they are correct in that assertion, then that is sad and hurts.
I'll leave it like that and let the factual and substantial game tomorrow play out what we are to see.
