Speaking of GW, if we can avoid duds like our first game with them last season, that would be a positive step in the right direction. I would like to see more consistency this year.

Being mediocre certainly doesn't help, but It has more to do with the rapid decline of newspapers and the reduction of staff. The Post is one of the few papers that has been able to thrive with a digital edition, but their sports staff is still a fraction of what it used to be. And the regional/local papers that Jim and I used to work for back in the day either no longer exist or have greatly reduced what they cover.

Indeed, Goff (the soccer guy), who used to cover us, indicated that the Post had decided only to regularly cover the local teams that had "national" exposure--Maryland and Georgetown, even with the latter no longer being in top 25 consideration.

I bet something like Soccer by Ives would work pretty well for college basketball, even if it was just DMV focused (there are so many D1 schools between Baltimore and Virginia Beach).

In the meantime, it would be nice if Giant Killers and Ryan Kish were a little more regular (also in depth) in their coverage of the team, especially in the offseason. I also miss Giant Killers podcast when they were doing it regularly but also understand it’s a lot of time and money for little to no return.

I do appreciate 3 Bid League and A10 Insider (Field of 68) for their overall A10 coverage but GMU content is far and few between because of you aren’t a fan of the school we are a bit of an afterthought in the league.
