Sounds like you should be donating to Miami and Louisville. Leave this board also, thanks.

I did not know donating to the program was a requirement of this board. As soon as we clean house and fire DP, I will consider writing a check so large that you could ever dream about writing. Mason basketball needs me bro.

I personally think Mason should go after a high caliber Assistant Coach. First off who would even want the Mason job at this point. The league isn't what it used to be. But assistant coaches are begging for a shot. In college basketball, we'll call it "the assistant coach problem." You can be the best doggone assistant coach in the country, recruiting the elite players and diamonds in the rough, developing talent at a high level, scouting opponents, refining your team's offensive and defensive schemes, doing the bidding of your head coach. Yet AD's are reluctant to consider hiring an assistant coach for a head coaching gig.

Assistant Coach Wish List:
Chris Caputo, Miami- Obvious reasons.
David Patrick, TCU- proven ability to recruit!
Ron Sanchez, Virginia- knows the VA recruiting trail.
Jon Scheyer, Duke- Obvious reasons.

But if Mason is stuck on hiring a head coach they should consider the following. But like I said, I doubt these coaches would take the Mason job.

Head Coach Wish List:
Dan Majerle, Grand Canyon
Nick McDevitt, UNC Ashville
John Becker, Vermont
T.J Otzelberger, South Dakota State
Scott Padgett, Samford

Tl;dr and you’re three years behind

Besides we need to discuss real issues like

Why did Abraham transfer?
Mason football!
Tickets are expensive!
Why was Hewitt hired!
Stop selling season tickets close to the court.

Please I want to hear your new thoughts on these topics. Then we can email Bard again.

Donating isn't a requirement but you sound so miserable all the time so maybe the board isn't good for your health. Also you must be one of those sleazy lawyers, check so big I couldn't dream of writing....lol. Who talks like that???

If you're going to take the time at least be factually correct about what you speak...
Ron Sanchez has successfully recruited 1 out of 3 VA prospects on UVA's team.. the one he did is their 11th man. get a grip DJ3. you don't now your a** from your elbow about GMU basketball much less college basketball as a whole
David Patrick is famously known for recruiting guys over 6 foot 7 so I knew you would love him. He is famously the guy who brought in Ben Simmons and Antonio Blakeney to LSU..... Do you know what was involved in that deal? Lets just say Simmons made more money a year than you do now while he was at LSU. Is that going to work at George Mason?!?!
Chris Caputo has sent a cease and desist to you for slobbering on his hypothetical knob. you just can't get that man off your brain
Jon Scheyer: DREAM ON DREAM ON DREAM ON

Dan Majerle: Coaching a for profit community college is much different than a public college
Nick McDevitt: Paulsen took less time to get to 20 wins than your hero. Must make McDevitt a loser that should be on the hot seat that has to play each game in the Mighty Big South Conference
John Becker: Successful American East coach. Last great one for Vermont was Mike Lonergan. He was fired for being a complete dickhead to his players and the school.
TJ Otzelberger: 18-17 career record at South Dakota St before this season. A real winner if I have ever seen one
Scott Padgett: career record of 47-52 before this season.

For a guy who preaches recruiters and winners your dream coaches are sure duds. I am sorry for lashing out but I TRULY think you are an IDIOT

DJ3 just went on to ESPN.com and looked up mid-major records without really understanding what he was talking about...also got caught up in the hype video GCU sent to ESPN to talk about their "amazing gameday atmosphere" without knowing anything about the school or the culture there.

Have you stepped foot onto GCU's campus, DJ3? Have you been to chapel in the basketball arena at 8:00 a.m. with the other students yet? Have you bowled at the Thunderground? Have you eaten at the taqueria across the street?

On Miami's Chris Caputo ...
  • "He gets players, and I like him because I don't think -- like, he's always been very sincere, very straightforward. Doesn't bullshit a whole lot. I think he'll be a really great head coach. He's learned from a guy [Jim Larranaga] who's done a tremendous job at any level. He's not coming from one of the bluebloods."
  • "Just a matter of time with him. And it'll probably come after this season. Miami could be good this season -- and then Caputo will get a job the same way the Oklahoma assistants got jobs after Lon made the Final Four [in 2016].
On TCU's David Patrick ...
  • "Can recruit anywhere. Can recruit the home with the three-car garage, can recruit in the ghetto, can recruit in Australia. Guy can connect with everybody. Doesn't matter who you are or what color you are. He will connect with you. Second, Patrick really knows the game, really can teach, and is going to represent your school the right way."
Dan Majerle, Grand Canyon
The former NBA All-Star has been the head coach at Grand Canyon for the past four seasons and has an 81-45 record in that span. This is the season the program becomes eligible for the NCAA tournament, and if Majerle leads the Antelopes to a berth, people will take notice.

Nick McDevitt, UNC Asheville
McDevitt has been crushed like few others with his top players deciding to transfer up a level in recent years, but somehow he has survived and now has the Bulldogs favored to win the Big South. McDevitt is 38, went to the NCAA tournament in 2016 and could well go again.
John Becker, Vermont

Becker has finished in the top three in the America East all six seasons he has been at Vermont and is coming off an NCAA tourney appearance -- his second with the Catamounts. He turned down Duquesne last offseason and could be a hot name if Vermont can make a return appearance in the tournament, which it's favored to do.

T.J. Otzelberger, South Dakota State
In his first season, Otzelberger -- a former assistant at Iowa State and Washington -- took the Jackrabbits to the NCAA tourney. They return the top player in the Summit League in Mike Daum, and that makes them the favorites to win the conference. If Otzelberger goes to the tourney in each of his first two seasons, he'll have a shot to make a quick move elsewhere.

I will take my fandom talents to Grand Canyon and cheer on the Antelopes. They are 8-3 getting ready to beat Louisville. They will win the WAC this year.

The WAC has really good streaming services. I just have to get used to the time difference, but that sounds easier then putting up watching a crap DP team.

The culture of Grand Canyon is what really sets it apart. There's no better stadium atmosphere in America. There is no stodgy old fart culture to be found. They just no how to party! https://www.sbnation.com/college-ba...rand-canyon-basketball-atmosphere-dan-majerle.

Grand Canyon has no history! Here me out, no history is the second best history there can be. They don't have banners to hang, but there is no tie to holding on to the glory days that will never be achieved again.
That point guard transfer they got from Oregon is a player. Watched one of their infomercial games on tv a month ago.

Suddenly the random fans posting articles on Bleacher Report are experts? ;)
When did they claim to be an expert? But the articles are actually written by professionals. So what's your point.

I also want to note when DP was hired the "experts" said the hiring was a c grade.

C grade was very generous. Should be D-. This hire will go down just as bad as the Hewitt hire.
