Huh? You arent signing one of those in Jan with a partial scholly.
It’s a joke based off usual comments on here...

That's a good idea!Mason should at least activate its Athletic Hall of Fame and induct Coach L and all the players who warrant this honor.
Its a great idea to have the athletic hall of fame, but has anyone actually spoken to anyone in the AD, and gotten some sort of answer?
Mason has an Athletic Hall of Fame, although you can no longer access its website -http://www.masonhoops.com/board/thr...versity-athletic-hall-of-fame.955/#post-41603:
"AD Edwards/Coach Paulsen,
If you're reading this, I just want you to know that Rudolph Jones (who played for the Patriots in 1971-73) is the only men's basketball player inducted in the George Mason University Athletic Hall of Fame - see http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools/gema/genrel/auto_pdf/hall-of-fame.pdf. Surely, it's time to recognize other outstanding players including those on the 2006 Final Four team."

This topic has been discussed multiple times on this board. The consensus is that the school does not know how to properly address the "Carlos Yates situation".
Pablo - have you reached out to Brad or someone in the AD and received an answer? I’m curious what they have to say and if it is true on the Carlos Yates situation.
Carlos Yates was the greatest player to ever wear a Mason uniform, and he should be judged based on what he did on the court. I wrote about his senseless murder in D.C. back in my newspaper days and detailed the sad turn his life took after his playing career ended. He was a really good guy who regretfully got caught up in some bad stuff, but nothing surrounding his death can ever take away from the incredible player he was, the astounding numbers he posted, or the records he set. And I will gladly share that with Brad, Dave and anybody else who wants to listen.
Amen.I don’t dislike Coach L. I think he is a great coach, he did an amazing job at Mason and I have no problem that he reached out to Miami when him and TOC got into their fight. He deserves every extra penny he can squeeze out of Miami or any other program, for that matter. He has every right to change his mind about retiring from Mason and change his viewpoint on the NCAA and mismatch majors versus P5s to match his current employer.
But, those are not the actions of someone who should be worshipped by our fan base and get honored with a court being named after them.
Amen.
College sports is a business. Coaches are really free agents every year; contracts dont mean anything. Athletes now move like free agents as well.
Once fans realize this is a business, it makes everything easier to understand.
Question from someone who wasnt around back then.
1) where did George Mason play before Eagle Bank/Patriot Center?

There were usually only 50 - 100 people there. Crowds on a good day would sometimes get into the hundreds. This was way back in the 70's.wow - that is pretty small - where did the people sit? or was it a different seating configuration?

Yeah I didn't know how to grade Boyd and Grayer. Fine players but they ultimately didn't work out.Disagree with Boyd & Grayer. Fairly productive before their injuries. Pretty accurate list, though.
