Disagree with Boyd & Grayer. Fairly productive before their injuries. Pretty accurate list, though.

Yeah, would also put Grayer and Boyd in the pass category. They were trending in the right direction and won us quite a few games we would have lost without them.

I’d put JDS in the incomplete category too. I know we think he’s going to transfer and he might not and he could be an Isaiah Tate situation who just “gets it” the second half of his junior season.

Grayer was a 1,000 point scorer.
I THINK the original poster was on the fence about Grayer because of how it ended, and judging the players more by Paulsen's handling of the players and not their actual success. I was "playing along" with his original "rules." I agree, he was far from a failure as a Mason player.

Richmond Times Dispatch lists every VA state employee's salary. https://data.richmond.com/salaries/2013/state/george-mason-university/paul-hewitt

Paulsen 2018-19- $416k
Darrell Green- $104K

I understand of the financial penalties of letting Paulsen go before his contract expires. But I would soften the blow by relieving Green of his duties.

Other notable George Mason Faculty
Paul Hewitt (13-14)- $666K
Jay Marsh- $110K
Andy Ruge- $88K
David Roe- $196k

Fire all of them. I have no idea who David roe is although I hate him already. Ruge is a nice guy, jay marsh is an old douche that needs to be sent out to pasture and paulsen just sucks

Roe is retired...he worked for the GMU Foundation, also an adjunct faculty member.

Correct. My bad. I didn’t realize that when I searched his name it provided a 2015 salary.

My original post was primary to show Green’s salary.

This is a fun exercise. I don’t think you can put XJ in pass yet. Although he’s trending positive and I like his game, he can’t shoot a lick. If that doesn’t evolve he’ll be a fail.

Grayer is a pass and I’d say Boyd too simply based on performance.

I’m somewhat conflicted on Greene too. Prior to his 30pt games I’d say he under achieved and is also TBD.

Agreed on most here. Honest question- knowing that even the best coaches will miss on guys sometimes, what percentage of recruits should we be shooting for in that “pass” column for the next coach? I’m thinking you need to hit on 3 out of every 4 guys you have on scholarship to be competitive in the A10

edited with my .02 above. Hard but fun exercise, and one I only evaluate in performance. Unfortunately a lot of fails didn’t have all that much time to perform.

I mean, it depends on what you mean by "pass?" I suppose that depends on player by player situation. For me, Oduro reaches pass if he's contributing a solid 15 mpg and averaging somewhere in the 5.5-6.5 ppg and 4.5-5.5 rpg range. But for someone like Malik Henry, I have higher expectations of his potential to become a starter.
