I hear you. And I think those teams are going to be pretty damn good next year, too, but that’s why you play the games. Improvement is never linear. Players over perform or under perform. Coaches figure things out.

We will get URI and Dayton at home next year, but will have to play Davidson on the road. Depending on how the rest of the schedule breaks down who knows?

I would lean that most players and thus teams underperform in this ultra spoiled environmen of musical chairs we call college basketball. The slightest thing can get many a panties in a bunch. So you have to recruit the right kid mentally. And maybe DP doesnt see those out there and he rather go with mental tougher, but less skilled and smaller than deal wtih Grayer Dad 2.0. But you gotta have some serious balls to risk your program ticking downwards to do that.

Did anyone see that Dayton has like 10 people on the total staff?

If Bryson is the new No. 3, we need somebody with coaching experience to replace Fischer. Can’t afford to basically have two newbies on the bench.

Not sure what DP's astrology sign is, but he seemed pretty comfy with Dane and Aaron for all those years. Not sure who he gets. but he clearly knows improvements are needed and hiring the next assistant is crucial to that.

We could be at a pivotal point in DP's coaching time at George Mason. Good coaches attract good assistants. Given that two just left for HC jobs, the job of attracting good assistants should be an easier sell.

There is only one 4 star player on Davidson's entire roster (and he's not even their best player) and they are one of the favorites next season...stop getting all star-struck by the recruitment services, man.

We also have 4 3 star players on our roster and maybe one of them is a starter next year.
