I know it will never happen. And yeah there will be more open seats but hopefully not near the court. All those people who buy tickets the day of the game are sitting at the rafters.
I would be happy with a staff member moving people to lower seats at half at least.
I've talked to a Mason Rep about this. They purposely leave the lower bowl unoccupied seats open for two reasons A) If a current season ticket holder wanted to buy additional tickets to a game, their guest would be able to sit relatively close to them and B) trying to keep it as an incentive to get season ticket plans.
Not even sure how much a single game ticket is since I'm a season ticket holder. I think it's $45 lower bowl, $25 upper. IMO, I think it's over priced. But relative to other schools I think it's comparable. I paid $70 to sit in the 400 level at a Maryland game.
Maybe as a compromise, make weekday games or non-premium opponents cheaper.
Or maybe have a membership level, kind of like the Chick-fil-A's Silver and Red status. For example once you've gone to 10 games, instead of $25 it's $22.5. After 20 games its $20.
