Lurch is pretty cool. I talked to him at a show at the State Theatre 4-5 years ago and we were talking about Mason Bball which he followed pretty well.

Anyhow...the Junkees are way past their 15 minutes. No one cares about their show anymore. That is why their producers told them to do a TV show, Table Manners, in order to become relevant again in the public eye in DC.

It was Pete Methurst (sp?) who referred to the message board, not one of the junkies. Apparently he's a huge fan of Paulsen's. The whole segment sounded like the typical bit where the talking heads bicker just to have something to fiht about.

Geeez. Typical. The only school EB and them really pay attention to is Maryland. Glad Medhurst set him straight....Paulsen has a proven track record, and as many have pointed out, is a much needed contrast to Hewitt's lack of preparation and in-game strategy!

I listen to the Junkees, but besides Lurch, who is the only one who I respect as far as sports knowledge is concerned, the rest of them are bonehead homers. Their banter regarding the Skin and Bullet is often embarrassing.

Says one boorish, hoops-ignorant Patriots fan: "Go cheap and this is what you get. Scraps. Horrible, horrible hire if it happens...Nothing screams EXCITED like a 50-year-old no one wants whose not been to the dance in three years in a bad conference."

Lots of comments on Paulsen as a coach, mostly positive. Also some discussion about who they would go after to replace him and whether one of the assistants is up to the task.

Pete's opinion I respect, but although I like the Paulsen hire, his opinion is simply because Paulsen beat the piss out of Navy, which isn't that hard to do.
