I think I paraphrased it quite nicely actually (and I'm pretty sure Patsby read your post and was just joking).
You did miss a few key questions, however:
1) Can Hewitt design a more effective press than the one he has utilized in the last three years to take advantage of our newfound length and athleticism?
2) Will we have a good enough skillset combination to play a half court game if we are forced to?
3) Does Hewitt have a strategy to eliminate the turnover problem that has plagued this team for the last three years?
And
4) Does Hewitt have a strategy to get this team to share and move the ball to find better shots or will we continue to rely on individuals to make shots for themselves?
Kind of hard to tell on online posts like these to tell if someone is actually trying to insult you or just poking a little joke. But I'll take you word for it that Patsby was just joking. No need to dwell on it.
As for your questions. Here is what I think.
1. I think Hewitt will use the same one used in the last three years unfortunately. But with so many 6-7 ish guys he can just throw onto the court, the increase length and height will probably itself will make it more effective. That has to be the reason why we have like 5 6-7 guys on the roster now.
2. Julian Royal will probably be the main scorer if the team is forced to play half court. Maybe Jalen Jenkins and Shevon Thompson will too.
3. The only thing I can think of is perhaps for Hewitt to have the players practice a few set plays they can use but also a few set plays that provides a foundation for them to improvise off of when teams make adjustments. Too often I would see players start going on some kind of mental lapse and start doing one and done plays when teams make adjustments. Everyone would improvise their own plays, and no one seemed to be able to interpret what their own teammate was trying to do.
4. I think that's going to be on the players themselves to figure each other out and how to get each other to perform at their best. My hope is that the trip to Spain will solve it. This is going to sound kind of mean, but if they play against some professional Spanish teams, I actually would like them to get beaten real bad. It would be good for them to lose early when the losses don't even count on the season record so they can recognize problems early and fix them immediately.
