"Quinn-Irons earned the honor for the second time this season. The Reston, Va. native went 11-for-16 at the plate over four games to help the Patriots extend their winning streak to nine games.

In George Mason's NCAA record-setting game against Holy Cross, Quinn-Irons was 3-for-4 with a double, four RBI and two runs scored. The Patriots set the NCAA Division I record for most runs in an inning with 23 in the bottom of the second against Holy Cross.

Quinn-Irons had three multi-hit games with his sixth home run of the season, six RBI and seven runs scored in three weekend games at the DMV Classic held at Capital One Park in Tysons, Va.

Quinn-Irons finished the week with 10 RBI, one double, one triple, a home run, nine runs scored and three walks."

Probably no shame in losing a few to Duke baseball on the road?
Correct, much better than the 23-5 drubbing they gave us last year. The two 6-3 losses should serve as motivation for the team - we gave up a ton of walks and HBP's in both games, particularly the 2nd - plus some errors.

I'm sure the team would be happy to get a regional rematch with them.

"O'Hara, from Davie, Fla., tossed a complete-game five hitter, all singles, in the Patriots 8-0 win over Dayton in the first game of a doubleheader on Saturday, March 15 at Spuhler Field. It was his second complete game of the season.

O'Hara struck out six and walked just one and faced only 33 batters in the outing. He didn't allow more than one baserunner in the first seven innings, and only allowed three runners to second base in the game."
