Head-to-head wise...

1-0 against St. Louis (although, they play the Bonnies on Saturday)
2-0 against St. Joes (who plays La Salle -- not a guaranteed win)
1-1 against vcu (last opponent is @Fordham)
1-1 against Richmond (who plays us, so we would have just lost to them).

I'm not sure how that shakes out from an overall tiebreaker perspective. Is it overall wins against common opponents at that point? We'd be 4-2.
Check your math.

That's why I posted the link and left the analysis to someone else.

Dammit! Where's Pablo when you need him!

Essentially, if you have three or more tied teams, you look at the overall record against each other (like I did above), and that's how you break the tie. If we lose to Richmond and St. Louis, vcu, and St. Joes all win:

GMU 5-2

St. Joes: 2-3

vcu: 2-5

Richmond: 3-4

SLU: 3-2

Should = GMU 4th place.

You know what helps clear up all this confusion though? Beating Richmond on Saturday...

I spent way too much time and made a thing to spell it out. vcu would be the 8 seed, which is almost as good as the news that Mason would be the 4 seed.

If they all win wouldn't SLU and St Joes have outright better records?

The A10 Tourny starts on Saturday Night at 7pm in the Eagle Bank Arena.

Tons are at stake here...

If we don't beat a 10-17 Richmond team in front a packed house, we don't deserve a double buy in the A10 Tournament.

If we win, and secure the #4 seed expect:

1.) for a healthy contingent of Mason fans to be at he A10 tourny next Friday at 2:30 pm at the Capital One arena
2.) a solid chance for a winning season overall and a winning season (10-8) in the A10
3.) almost assuring ourselves as a Top 3 team in the pre-season A10 polls.
4.) post-season invitation?

Seems similar to the URI game we blew at home last year at this time...

Keeping an eye on our final positioning in the standings.

St. Joes play LaSalle at 2pm

St. Louis play the Bonnie's at 8pm

Go Mason!
