So Mason gets the winner of Lasalle/Umass. Mason plays Thursday 230pm
Got my ticket!! Currently $6 ($12.63 with fee and standard UPS) on StubHub—mid-court, Section 100. Good seats!
See you all at the game!
Wasn't sure if it was GAdm or not. The listing on StubHub gave me a row, but no seat number. I recall Pittsburgh last year being GAdm for the early rounds, so I kind of thought that Cap1 Arena would do it similarly. No worries.I think Thursday (both sessions) are general admission, minus a few rows close to the court.
I put together a gigantic post for A10 all-conference recognition. I've got Otis on the second team and Mar just missing the cut for all-rookie. Check it out:

Thanks Petey!
Yuta over Otis?
Otis put an entire team on hi back and ended up a 5th seed and Yuta's numbers equaled out to a PIG game for GW. Numbers are cool, but they have to mean something for the overall performance of the team.
And Tillman over Otis? Tillman had a supporting cast of 3 seniors and two Juniors and vcu ended up lower than Mason. Also, Tillman averaged nearly 7 minutes less playing time a game!
Sorry, I just don't see it.
I've rotated four different people out of the fifth spot on the first team. It's extremely close and probably between Cunningham (Dayton), Yuta, Otis, Mobley (Bonnies) and BJ Johnson (La Salle). I chose Yuta because he's a crazy good defender in addition to carrying the scoring burden for his team. As good as Otis has been, he's had a few stinkers this year. He's got an outside shot at first team but I think he winds up second team.
Tillman has been a monster all season long and I think he's a lock for first team. I'm like 95% certain that Adams, Terrell, Aldridge, and Tillman are first team. Beyond that I'm not certain of anything.
"Tillman has been a monster all season long" If you consider a Monster season just 1 point a game better than Otis, than I guess we just disagree. And by the way, Tillman had a "stinker" against us.
The press, the coaches fall in love with a particular player and they just vote him in because of name recognition and more media coverage.
If Tillman had to play the minutes Otis did, what do you think his numbers would be? And I know others have the same or minutes than Otis but Otis's minutes were almost always extremely active minutes and in conference play, he looked spent and still scored nearly 18/game.
It seems as if the performance of the team compared to what was predicted does not fact at all into the decision in the A10. If this is what they think is recognizing the best, than I guess I just have to shrug my shoulders and move on.
If I see a Ivy-League grad who received a scholarship and won the Nobel prize for science, that's impressive. But if I see someone else work two jobs, pay their own way through college, take care of his parents and still finds time and motivation to study night in and night out win the same Nobel Prize, I think most people would say the latter is significantly more impressive.
May be in the minority here but TS% is absolutely stupid stat to use when talking about an all conference team. A dude shoots 30% from the field but has a lot of free throws at 90% his percentage is sooooo skewed..
I would personally take Cunningham, Otis and BJ Johnson over Yuta... (maybe not Johnson since he missed 6-8 games)
Your reach for LuWane (shoot it until he makes one) Pipkins is a little strange.... nothing more than a volume shooter on a horrendous team. You must love that big guy that shoots like 30% from Fordham lol
