Demery has 13, 5, and 2 so far. Wonder how much of that first half is him being back and how much is Rhode Island lacking focus after wrapping up the regular season title.

Rhody down by 33. Look like they came out expecting to play a DIII team. Unbelievable. Not a good development in the the fight for seeding. GMU with the tiebreaker against the Hawks, but I'm guessing they beat La Salle this weekend. Rhody 1-23 from three on the night.

I watched - I don't think it's possible for Rhody to play any worse. Slow rotations on D, relying way too much on the three ball, (going something like 2-27) and turnover after turnover. Newkirk and Demery were studs for St. Joe's. In contrast to Rhody, St. Joe's did a great job of protecting the ball.

Announcers seemed to think a lot of it was a natural letdown from winning the conference - but they could not believe how badly Rhody was crushed. I was quite positive Mason would have a 1/2 game lead on St. Joe's after tonight. You never know I guess.

Had Rohdie played on the road then I'd say they would lose only a few nachos in the rankings. But this was a home game for them! URI still may come out if this loss with as #24 or #25. Depends on how they fair at Davidson on Saturday.

I guess we really pissed off St. Joe's last week, or something.

Wayyyyy too many three balls. St. Joe's whole game plan is to keep you out of the paint and turn you into a jump shooting team. Gets you torched by teams like Davidson, but they've been doing it for years under Martelli for better or worse. Rhode Island played right into it with 15/31 shots in the first half coming from 3. Rhode Island doesn't shoot a ton of 3s (bottom 50 in 3pt rate) so St. Joe's got them out of their element. Shots weren't falling so goodnight URI.
