Then why isn't he at Alabama any more. Hewitt was successful before GT. Some players have ceilings, as well as coaches

1 tournament for any school who could care less about basketball is good. One of the reasons why the will Wade move perplexed me. Why go to a school who doesn't care much about your sport. Look at schools like vcu who concentrate on one sport or Dayton who concentrates on two sports. Alabama is a black hole for basketball. He had a losing record one year for a program that was a perennial loser. I call that success.

Because no matter the lack of support he got Alabama is a winning school and they fire people for not winning. Kinda sad actually.

This is very true but let's not act like he's Paul Hewitt or some other retread

Grant was paid nearly 2M/yr at Alabama, I wouldn't call that a school that could care less about it's basketball program. They also have a top 5 recruiting class coming in next season, not sure how a school could do that if they don't care.

Or maybe it's because he finished 10th and 8th the last two seasons. Or that he went 31-33 the last two seasons. Programs should improve over time not decline

I did say he was ok, but if I were a Dayton fan I'd be worried. Let's face it, he's got huge shoes to fill. If it was the Duquesne job, I'd think it was a great hire. (the guy they got is better though I think)

So Richmond lost again today. They were favorite by 3 and lost by 33 to Jacksonville. They have a new AD coming Jan 1 and the fans are calling for Mooney's head.
