You just summarized my inital interaction with everyone in the Boston area.

It took me the longest time realize that "Hey a**hole, you stupid m*ther f*cker, what the F8ck"...was Massachusetts, NH, etc for "Hey stranger, I don;t know you yet...and maybe you're cool...but how you doin?"

I used to work for a retired Navy Commander, P-3 Orion pilot from Dorchester. The guy never cursed, ever, no matter what. He told me he grew up with the F-bomb as ever other word he heard in his neighborhood, so he vowed then and there never to speak it.

Half time should be fraternity tug a war. Maybe other games, keep score and at the end of the season announce who accumulated the most points. That will get fraternity's to more games.

Also have 50/50 raffles every game. It's easy money for the program

While I think we already do better with halftime entertainment than most other schools at which I've attended a game, this is a great idea.

However, it doesn't cause me to get a tire iron and go Marsellous Wallace Medieval on people like it does here in the Boston area.

I will say growing up in Richmond and then moving to NoVa was a culture shock of societal structure and language.

UD goes for an alumnus retread.

Must not have had a lot to choose from. But if you are going to hire a retread, I guess the fans will be more accepting if it is his alma mater.

I guess everyone did an okay job of hiring in the A-10. I rate them as follows:

1. vcu - probably should have hired Rhoades two years ago. If he can keep all the recruits, then this hire is a home run.
2. Duquesne - They couldn't have done a better job. They may have overpaid though.
3. UMass - McCall inherited talent from Will Wade and did well the first year. In year two, UTC collapsed late in the season. I think Steve Forbes would have been a better hire. Forbes did, after all, win the SoCon.
4. Dayton - not a horrible hire but Dayton should have been able to entice a non-retread.

It appears the happiest fans are UTC fans. They cannot believe someone would hire McCall. Buyers remorse is setting in with UMass fans now that they have had time to read what a mess Chattanooga had turned into under McCall in just his second year.

Dayton just set the program back 5 years. I guess they didn't learn from Mason's mistake. That's why you study history!
