What's more embarrassing than telling friends you're in the play in game for your own conference? Losing that game.

Or paying $640 for 4 tickets, $900 for hotel rooms and now getting to spend the NYC trip doing touristy stuff instead of watching basketball. Made the commitment in December before I knew how painful this team was going to be to watch in the A10. Oh well.

Really, it happened twice in our best season ever. The first was at Hofstra right after we became ranked, and the second happened in the CAAT when Tony Skinn nutted Loren Stokes.

The big distinction is that Hofstra team was really could and probably should have been in the NCAAT. This Fordham team is not very good.

And that is the only comparison between the 2006 team and this one. Well I guess the both put 5 guys on the floor at a time too. Much more heart out of that 2006 group of players.

Yep. The really sad thing is I knew we would lose in the back of my mind. When you have zero hope, all is gone. I'll start following the program again when Hewitt is gone.

GMU92! 550 people attending a game at the Patriot Center next year may be considered a SELLOUT if Hewitt is coaching. I refuse to use the word coach beside Hewitt's name because I don't consider Hewitt as a coach. I've been attending GM games since the 2006 Final Four run but there is no way I'm going to support this MESS anymore. Well in the new conference the odds are better of that happening. The A10 tournament probably looks like mating season there's so many rams involved.

Punishment idea:

Loser of the play-in game every year has to change their mascot to the Rams.
vcu should get to switch mascots to something else like urban blight and let the crap teams keep the "reward"

Best part is that it's abstract. So many choices for mascots and art. They could even do an interpretative dance about it at halftime...
