If Boyd redshirts, what happens to his scholarship? Didn’t we give it away already?
I was wondering this too.

I doubt Boyd redshirts and comes back to a bench role. It's unfortunate because he's been a solid player and by all accounts a great guy, but I think this might be the end for him.
As always, the only positive result of injuries is that it gives other guys a chance to step up. In my opinion, this gives Jason Douglas-Stanley a massive opportunity to become a consistent scoring threat.
Got to hope JDS, Johnson, and Daddy are ready to step in right away. And hope Kier gets back sooner rather than later.
I was wondering this too.
I don't see Wilson starting. I see Hartwell, Green, Mar, Miller, Calixte with AJ off the bench.just trying to soak this all up and think this through, Daddy must be slotted into Kier's spot.
JDS should become Greene's primary backup.
I could also see Paulsen starting AJ Wilson as a result.
An opening day lineup of: Hartwell, Greene, Wilson (or Calixte), Mar, and Miller could be a likely scenario
At this point, I think it's Hartwell, Greene, Miller with Calixte at the 5, and either AJ or Mar at the 4. I guess i'd lean toward Mar, but who knows.I don't see Wilson starting. I see Hartwell, Green, Mar, Miller, Calixte with AJ off the bench.

I doubt a stress fracture will linger. Muscle and ligament injuries tend to linger, but bones are resilient. This is so disapointing, I can't even put it into words. Oh well. Feel bad for Kier and especially Boyd but also just feel terrible about the program overall.
We had alot going against us with a full roster, and now......
Even when Kier comes back, he won't necessarily just magiaclly be the same old reliable Justin. Injuries linger and will probably last all year.
Daddy will have to play backup 2-3 this year.. no way he takes Kier's role unless he is a lot better than some of my sources say. This kid is a real FRESHMAN.. tons of potential though but could have used a RS (still might)Neither of those things make any sense
I agree on everything, including the bench order. Again, I think JDS has the biggest opportunity here.Lineup goes Hartwell, Greene, Miller, Mar, Calixte with AJ, JDS, Xavier, Daddy and Oduro off the.
bench.
This is going to FORCE Paulsen to play big lineups which I am excited for the potential of.
I think JDS can do it.. need to run an offense that can let him catch and shoot off of screens. Don't think Paulsen currently has that implemented.. but need to play to Hartwell and JDS strengths now which are radically different than Kier's.I agree on everything, including the bench order. Again, I think JDS has the biggest opportunity here.
Yep. Feels right to me. I'm still not sold on AJ at the 4, but it would be nice if he could give us 5 or 10 effective minutes there. At this point, I think it's Hartwell, Greene, Miller with Calixte at the 5, and either AJ or Mar at the 4. I guess i'd lean toward Mar, but who knows.
your boy just went from sporadic mins to potentially a crucial role overnight. I am excited for the young pups to get some shineOn the bright side those early season non conf losses to inferior opponents might not completely crush our optimism now.
I'm a glass half full guy...also X gonna give it to ya.
