If Boyd redshirts, what happens to his scholarship? Didn’t we give it away already?

I doubt Boyd redshirts and comes back to a bench role. It's unfortunate because he's been a solid player and by all accounts a great guy, but I think this might be the end for him.

As always, the only positive result of injuries is that it gives other guys a chance to step up. In my opinion, this gives Jason Douglas-Stanley a massive opportunity to become a consistent scoring threat.

Got to hope JDS, Johnson, and Daddy are ready to step in right away. And hope Kier gets back sooner rather than later.

just trying to soak this all up and think this through, Daddy must be slotted into Kier's spot.

JDS should become Greene's primary backup.

I could also see Paulsen starting AJ Wilson as a result.

An opening day lineup of: Hartwell, Greene, Wilson (or Calixte), Mar, and Miller could be a likely scenario

This is going to FORCE Paulsen to play big lineups which I am excited for the potential of.

This is so sad for Kier and Boyd. Kier was expected to have a potential All-A10 season and it is horrible to see that possibly taken away from him thru something out of his control. I really really feel bad for him and hope it is closer to 4 weeks but that he does not rush such a feisty injury.

Boyd has had this wrist issue for like 2 years now and it sucks. I always loved how hard he played and will always remember that.

At this point, I think it's Hartwell, Greene, Miller with Calixte at the 5, and either AJ or Mar at the 4. I guess i'd lean toward Mar, but who knows.

I doubt a stress fracture will linger. Muscle and ligament injuries tend to linger, but bones are resilient.

Daddy will have to play backup 2-3 this year.. no way he takes Kier's role unless he is a lot better than some of my sources say. This kid is a real FRESHMAN.. tons of potential though but could have used a RS (still might)

And unfortunately AJ has to play backup 5 this year.. Even more now that Mar and Miller will have to play some 3.

YIKES Paulsen has some work to do. I COULD be really impressed by him this year if he somehow manages to make this clusterf**k he and injuries created work. Horrible roster balance in year 5 yet again combined with the same old injuries we face every year

I agree on everything, including the bench order. Again, I think JDS has the biggest opportunity here.

I think JDS can do it.. need to run an offense that can let him catch and shoot off of screens. Don't think Paulsen currently has that implemented.. but need to play to Hartwell and JDS strengths now which are radically different than Kier's.

Yep. Feels right to me. I'm still not sold on AJ at the 4, but it would be nice if he could give us 5 or 10 effective minutes there.

your boy just went from sporadic mins to potentially a crucial role overnight. I am excited for the young pups to get some shine
