I don't understand where fans in this group think he fits. So take away minutes from Miller and Mar to play him at the 3 or the 4? He can't play there, he's backing up Calixte, which is fine. His "break-out time" has long passed...
I thought we would see more of AJ at the 4 when Mar went down. Miller looks pretty good in that 4 role. But still, I am surprised we didn’t see more of AJ.

Don't agree with this. Unlike those programs, Paulsen can win without highly rated recruits, he's done it for years. The team won't be great, might not even be top 7 but no way they are worse then all the bottom five (Fordham, GW, St Joes, UMass, La Salle)
His .492 record says otherwise.

I just am of the basic logic that if you have a lot of players that are okay to the point where you could have a 10-11 man rotation, but no one particularly dominant, you should use pressure defense to make the other teams' dominant players have to work their asses off the whole game and run on sentence.

I just came in this thread because my word search blame Larranaga returned results but I cant figure out what he did and it is nice to see the genesis of actual basketball discussions again run on sentence.

Guess math is hard for a couple of mental midgets.

Mason’s A-10 record the last 3 years:
9-9
9-9
11-7

Total: 29-25 (.537)

Enjoy your day.
welcome back Jim.. I totally forgot that Paulsen's first year doesn't count. Love the Myles Brown signing.. hope you are doing well

Also not nice to call someone a mental midget

4 games over .500 isn't exactly earth shattering even if we don't count his first year as a coach

Mason32 asked about Paulsens record over the last 3 seasons.....So Jim gave you the numbers. Nobody asked about his 1st season.

So Kier our 4-6 weeks and Boyd out for the season...that will certainly change things.

If Boyd redshirts, what happens to his scholarship? Didn’t we give it away already?

I doubt Boyd redshirts and comes back to a bench role. It's unfortunate because he's been a solid player and by all accounts a great guy, but I think this might be the end for him.

As always, the only positive result of injuries is that it gives other guys a chance to step up. In my opinion, this gives Jason Douglas-Stanley a massive opportunity to become a consistent scoring threat.
