The ESPN series is about programs that have faced the challenge of moving on from a single historically revered coach. No UMass coach other than Calipari has ever won an NCAA tournament game.

URI has not had one coach that dominated its history in the ESPN era. Four different URI coaches have brought their team to the tourney and won NCAA games in this period. Its Sweet-16 (1988) and Elite-8 (1998) were actually under two different coaches. Their program success is not tied to a single coach.

Pete had some nice comments from some big name coaches. I thought same thing at first but to see someone get respect as an assistant is, at the least, a tad reassuring. However, I am worried about the chemistry of our staff.

While I don't disagree with what you are saying, I do question why Hopkins or Archie didn't offer him assistant positions on their staff or why he didn't end up at a bigger/better program than Dartmouth. I don't know much about him so I will give him the benefit but I am a little skeptical..

Who'd, of any value, want to work for DP? Of course, it could be ripe to take over program on short-term once they finally fire his DMD guzzling a**.

I agree. Any time you lose an Op’s guy to their first actual coaching position indicates imminent doom for the coach and program that gave him an opportunity. It’s time to panic and be manic before we die on this Titanic.

anxiety, apathy, general discontent, hopelessness, churlishness, excessive snark, surly, loss of interest in certain activities, mood swings, sadness, restlessness, extreme agitation, excessive crying or whining, irritability, social/digital isolation, lack of concentration, excessive hyperbole, cognitive dissonance and finally, repeatedly going over the same fatalistic thoughts related to a single topic.

It is time for an intervention, so when a real difficult issue in life hits you, you’ll have a slight chance of dealing with it. Cheers!
