Based on numbers alone, I see his point. But the secret sauce is what Tony does with these guys. And no one knows the answer to that.

Hard to predict what a transfer is going to do, especially ones transferring down:

Denzel Bowles did exactly nothing at A&M and came in and averaged 21 ppg at JMU.

Ibi Watson for Dayton also didn’t burn any barns down at Michigan and was excellent for them.

But there is also a long list of transfers who disappointed.

Personally, I really like our 1-4: Polite, Billups, Maddox, Hall. Obviously our 5 isn’t going to be Josh Oduro, but I doubt they’re going to be asked to be.

A lot of questions about what guys like Newton, Pavrette, even Kelly are going to do here. How improved will Dinkins be? Will Ball be able to contribute etc.
