Also GCU is a Christian school. Faith values could play a part. I know it does with some (many?) kids who go to Liberty.
Lots of Christians at Mason. As opposed to GCU or Liberty, Cornish won't have to deal with one size fits all Christianity at Mason. Assuming he's a Christian.

Well, at least he didn't go to GCU.

Wondered if the staff would be able to pull both Maddox and Cornish, knowing they’re both wings. Hard to convince a 4* to come off the bench at an A-10 school.
Think if Cornish could play the 4 he may have still come, but we now have 4 dudes who can play the 2 or the 3 (RP for the 2, Maddox can play either, Billups for the 2, Ball for the 3 and even a long 2 if we so want)

Makes me think Ball is hanging around if Cornish is out tbh. Hall is tall enough he can play four so doubt recent moves effect him.

I have no idea if he is a Christian or not, but if he is, maybe that one size is just right for him. Not our call.

FKE has had success getting former players from his brief stops at made at Colorado, UT and GMU. But, he hasn't been as successful at attracting portal players he wasn't associated with.

Tony, on the other had, has landed three guys not from any school he was an assistant at, but hasn't been as successful at getting guys from Maryland, Ohio St., or SH.

Not sure I have a point in this, just an observation.

I get where you are coming from here. However, Darius Maddox took several visits to SH and had a relationship with Tony so that definitely influenced his decision. Billups and Kelly I think were completely independent, but I'm not really sure. Ojiako Singleton and Cooper were independent KE guys to some degree.

Its an interesting point but its very early to see how these things unfold. At the end of the day, its just about the talent you bring in and how they play and win on the court. Where they come from doesn't really matter. :)

I will say, I was thankful that KE had the connections to bring in guys like Bailey, Ticket, Schwartz because it raised my expectation of the type of talent that we should expect to be in Fairfax. That was something that I never thought was possible because 100 different reasons.

The anticipation of this fourth commitment is killing me. Let’s end the week on a high note!

Some of the A10 twitter folks have been taking notice of the work Tony and staff are putting in so far, ya love to see it.
