Social media matters. If you haven’t already, blow his Twitter up.
We do a pretty good job on Twitter, but we suck on Instagram. I was the only Mason reply out of 50+. The reason I bring it up is KE liked my reply, so I know he looks at that stuff. Blow up his Instagram too!

UConn got a commit from another PG, so can’t see how they are a fit but could be wrong.
Yep Tristen Newton will be UConn’s starting PG next season so they can’t possibly still be in the running.

So realistically it’s Mason against 6 other schools. Hope Kim can close this one because Williams looks like the missing piece of the puzzle for an NCAA at-large squad.

Not given by any means but Id go here before Id go there definitely.

Watched some film on Rudi this morning. The thing that jumps out to me is how well he can score all over the court. He can shoot the three, he can drive and pull up mid range, or he can drive all the way and score at the rim. He also found the open guy after driving to the basket - really well rounded player.

I think we really lacked a guard that could beat their man off the dribble last year - XJ did it at times with some success. Williams can do that. He’s not just a 3 point shooter. The open looks our 2’s and 3’s would get with Williams driving would definitely increase.

"I asked him about what made these eight schools special to him. He said 'What stood out was the opportunity that each school school offered. I can come in and be a impact guy right away at these eight schools.'

I also asked about his relationships with any coaches at the eight schools. He said 'Yes for sure, I have good relationships with coaches like Coach Kim English (George Mason), Coach Mark Pope and Coach Cody Feuger (BYU), Coach Tom Moore (UConn), and Coach Sean Miller and Coach Dante Jackson (Xavier).'

Williams has visits at Xavier (April 21-23), BYU (April 27-28), and Wichita State (April 29-May 1) so far. He is currently setting up other visits with all of the other schools."

"And finally he wants everyone to know what ever school he decides to commit too will be getting a selfless player who is hardworking and will be determined to win."

Well, for what it's worth, Rudi did list CKE first.

I don't know, though, he's a Senior—one-and-done. In order to build some long-term team consistency and success, I'd rather have players who will play at Mason for multiple seasons. I mean we just got to know D’shawn Schwartz and off he went to the PIT. I guess this is the new order in the NCAA.

yep so get used to it or you might not like College Basketball anymore. Knitting sweaters in Swimom's class for 4 years is mostly over. Adapt or die, thank god we finally have a coach who is seemingly adapting

He is exactly what we need for the 22-23 season, unless you’d prefer to waste what likely will be Oduro’s final year at Mason in another hail of maddeningly inconsistent point guard play.

It’s obvious that Kim’s long-range plan is to develop a PG — Dinkins was his first offer as Mason’s coach and he’ll have his time — but counting on a freshman or an oft-injured junior to take us where we want to go is unrealistic at best.
