2 torn ACLs and barely saw the floor in college … no thanks

Well that's def. a red flag to put it mildly. But it's also a kid who had offers to UNC and Duke coming out of school, is from our backyard, and another PVI connection. I can't imagine the staff would offer w/out working him out first or at least talking to a sports medicine Doctor. And Harris probably isn't even interested, but if he is and some of those other things look favorable, seems like a high enough ceiling to be worth a dice roll when we've 7 or so scholarships to fill.

We’re down to 3 unless someone else transfers out. One hopefully is for Nnaji, one for a transfer PG and one for a transfer PF.

Solely because of his pedigree Harris would be fun to take a flier on if we had an extra scholarship, but that’s currently not the case.

The Point Guard Portal within the Transfer Portal is incredibly competitive right now. The conversations are extremely fluid, and anybody that was once a highly touted HS prospect, or a mildly successful college player is getting hit up by everyone.

Needless to say, this portal situation isn't going to go as smoothly for George Mason as it seemingly did last year. On top of the overwhelming volume of options, NIL has only made it more difficult.

FWIW here is my list of Transfer PGs that we have reported involvement with that I feel are realistic options:

- Rudi Williams (Coastal Carolina)
- Jacobi Wood (Belmont)
- Saquan Singleton (New Mexico)

Hopefully we will have some direction in the coming days.

Out of those three, I'd shove all my chips in for Rudi.

It would be sadly ironic if we go into next season worse at the starting PG spot than we ended last season. Adding Dinkins makes the group better overall but if a recruiter the caliber of Kim can’t land an upgrade over XJ, that would be a very big bummer.

That’s the priority order I’d go in too. Singleton only works if Dinkins is good enough to start from game 1.

I can’t watch another year of Ronnie playing PG as the main minutes getter. If this is the case I hope Dinkins can play day one

Not realistic with Sessoms? I thought last week you said it was. Damn that sucks

Again, things change quickly, so there's no reason to hit any kind of panic button. Guys will be entering the portal all the way until May 1st. There will be a lot of options.

Have faith, my friends. Our coach has already landed some excellent players, including Fernandez. Despite the competition, there are lots of options and I have no doubt KE will land players we will be excited to welcome. Patience.

Yeah I wouldn’t be worried guys. I would be downright shocked if we don’t get a PG. Everyone knows we need one to have a prayer to compete towards the top5 of the league.

We’ll get one.

Call me crazy, but if we got a legit PG (and I would put Rudi Williams in the "legit" group with Barthelemy and Sessoms - he'd be at the bottom, but he's another level above some of these other 2nd tier guys), and we land a decent PF/backup C type, I think we have a legit tournament sweat.

We gotta hit at PG.

Not panicking, just seems like everyone was assuming we’d be able to add big-time upgrades at PG and PF and the reality is it’s not a given. As you noted there is a ton of competition in the portal for guys who have any record of proven success in college.

He literally has never been the main minutes getter but I'm intrigued what you might do if he has his first healthy offseason and becomes a good player as a 20-year old junior.

Don't take this personally but there's always "set yourself on fire."

It makes a powerful statement.
