Other schools former Wichita State guard Jamarius Burton has received interest from: Alabama, George Mason, Oklahoma State, NC State, Illinois, Arkansas, Creighton, LSU, Oregon State, Miami, Cincinnati, Ole Miss, Oklahoma and Iowa State, among others.

Scholarship availability aside, if we somehow beat out everyone on that list for Burton I will buy 10 copies of Paulsens basketball book.

We were one of his final 5 official visits when he was a HS Senior. His original decision came down to Mason, UMASS, Wichita, Butler and some other mid major.

Not a criticism - we absolutely should be going after him - but it is hard to imagine looking at that list that we are even in his top 5. I'm glad we once were but it's nearly impossible to believe we could be now

Maybe he learned all that glitter isn't gold in this process. But agree with you it will be a difficult sell especially since he isn't local.

I saw Arizona is in on him as well. There's no way he ends up in the A-10.

Loyalty needs to be appreciated as well. He could have taken 99% of jobs out there at one point and he chose not to. I have heard he is very dickish, but he is definitely a damn good recruiter and coach. This mass exodus is troubling though but I have heard for Shockers fans that some of these kids will go back on the team. Apparently half the team hated the other half this year, not fully on Marshall but he definitely gets some blame

He has done a great job at Wichita but I find it easy to root against him and most likely will continue to do so.

When should we find out who transfers?

We're slowly hearing about players entering the portal at other schools, so I would assume news would be coming sooner rather than later. The earlier guys enter the portal, the more opportunities they will have to be recruited. That is assuming that we will have a transfer or two. Of course, the guys can take however long they need to make these decisions.

Would it be bad etiquette to speculate on which of our guys may be transferring? At this point, there are only a couple that would really shock me.
