I like Smith... smart kid too which fits right into Paulsen's plans.

GW should be kiddie pool though as they are lower right now than we were when Paulsen took over for the Virus... Need to keep Jamion Christian and the Colonials down as long as we can for our sake.

Visits are, well, just that. My point is vcpoo is actually signing kids with p6 offers vs Mason who can make offers, but not get the kid to commit. We even lose in recruiting to Elon and other low mid majors. Very kiddie pool.

Got to learn patience. I remember this with Corey Edwards vs. Shane Larkin. Shane visited and didn’t commit right away and Corey came shortly after and Larranaga took him. Rumors were Larkin would have commited to Mason. We were all wondering why you wouldn’t wait for the obviously better prospect (some were on the side of you’ve got to take the first commitment, because you know he wants to be here, others said you’re crazy not to hold a scholarship open for a big-time recruit), eventually that rumor was probably confirmed when Larranaga takes the Miami job and Larkin was one of the first commitments he got there. You’ve got to be patient with some of these kids.

I wouldn't read into it too much. Even Polite took a few weeks before deciding to commit.

Well, we do have scholarship offers for Darius Maddox’s and Josiah Freeman in that same class as well as PF Myles Stute who has a pretty impressive offer sheet. We only have 2 (maybe 3 if AJ grad transfers out) scholarships to give, and hopefully one of those will be for a forward.

We also got a ton of guards in this recruiting class. Maybe he’s looking for a shooter who can be a set and shoot guy off the bench and maybe develop? Not everyone on the roster has to be a 4 star stud.
