So, is it good to be the first visit to have a chance to lock a kid down before he sees other stuff, or is a kid more likely to say he wants to see his options before making a decision, and likely to forget about us by the time he has completed his visits?

Brian, not sure what it means....

We have Polite, Jr. committed at PG/SG to replace Kier's role, and have this kid Kolek visiting....perhaps to replace Boyd?

me personally, I would've signed 2 bigs in this class. the A10 has been getting bigger and bigger, and we continually recruit guards.

Well, we still have two scholarships open. Two might be excessive, considering Calixte is still a junior and will be around next year, too, but they definitely need one for 2020 and at least 1 for 2021 (depending on what happens with oduro).

Also AJ can grad transfer next season. If he isn't getting the playing time he wants he is gone. If he does get the playing time this season that means he's playing well and we won't need another big in 2020 class.

He might grad transfer either way.

also, it is important to note, Kolek was already here earlier this summer on an unofficial visit. He must really like Mason.

The Bonnies and Richmond also have offers out on him. Vermont too. A couple of CAA schools (Towson, Northeastern). And a few Ivys (Brown, Penn, Columbia). Will be interesting to see where he winds up.

Middlesex Magic is run by Mike Crotty, a Williams grad and the four-year starting PG for Paulsen (including his 2003 national championship team and 2004 national runner-up team).

Middlesex Magic is a fairly good AAU program outside of Boston. It would be nice for DP to develop a pipeline in the New England prep/AAU programs in addition to the talent-rich DMV.
no comment on the kid... but Middlesex Magic is traditionally a lot better than "fairly good" AAU team. I remember playing against them.. not a lot of fun for my team. Some of this kids teammates have high major offers

Do you guys think that moving the 3pt line back affects recruiting strategy at all? Have we talked about this on the boards? Hopefully it’ll open up the lane a bit more for AJ this year. I’m just worried that we may struggle even more with our outside shooting.

We def will struggle from the outside, the 3 line has moved back like 2 feet. Penetration is our game!

I see it hurting Kier and his flat footed three the most. I think JDS is the only guy that has showed any range on his shot outside the previous 3 pt. Line.
