2020-2021 Schedule Thread

I've heard from more than one person we have zippy OOC as of now but some supposedly in the works.

Honestly, I don't doubt it. I think the day that the AD sent that email out is probably the day that they determined there would be a season (and probably when they started working to try to reestablish the schedule). I have no doubt they'll work out a full schedule for us (including one MTE), but I also have no doubt that at this point it will be underwhelming.

More college hoops sked, per sources: St. Bonaventure, Stephen F. Austin and Towson have all agreed to the same Mohegan Sun MTE. Will be played Nov. 25-27. SFA vs. Bona is done. A fourth team could be close. All three of those teams are good enough to make the NCAAs.

Good for Dayton, they traded the Myrtle Beach tourney field for the Battle for Atlantis field.

This marks the 2nd year in a row that Georgetown bailed on a loaded MTE field. Seton Hall is replacing Georgetown (The Hall is now out of the Charleston Classic), yet NJ has the same travel restrictions as DC does right now. They got out of the Phil Knight tourney last year.

I don't like that Duke isn't playing Howard, especially since that would be a home game for Duke.

Give credit to Hawaii. The Diamond Head Classic is moved to Orlando yet they are still in it.

I didnt see vcu, UMass, La Salle, GW, Mason, Fordham (dropped out of Gulf Coast) or Saint Joe's listed as playing above. Interestingly, those are the bottom 7 teams in the A10 standings last year.

I really am curious who will join this. Its still early enough in the process where some schools are still looking for an MTE. Anyone know if UVA, VT, Georgetown or UMD are already committed to thanksgiving tourneys?

Glad to hear Mason found a preseason tournament. Hopeful there will be a good opponent. I can’t help think Mason signed on because the schools interested were good.

But knowing our luck it’ll be 3 cupcake games.
