Just a question for the Mar go play the 3 guys in this group. Have you all seen him dribble the basketball!?? If you checked yes, you really want him to play on the wing outside? If you checked yes again, Are you kidding me?!?

Grayer had a suspect handle and played fairly well at the 3. You don't have to have a super handle to play the 3. Everyone raves about Mar's work ethic, I'd be shocked if he's not substantially better with the ball in his hands next year. But again, I have no issue with him playing the 4 if Miller is the 3.

fair enough I just saw him with worse handles than Reuter by far and that scares me on the wing

Agree for next year. My suggestion was a two year project, getting the players to develop the skills they need to move to new positions by 2021: AJ, Mar and Calixte would be seniors, Miller and Hartwell would be juniors. Getting all 5 on the court at the same time if we could would be optimal unless they get recruited over.

I agree that starting 5 would be optimal but Mar is going to have to either improve his handle or put on some weight. He is too small to be a forward and doesn't have the skills to be a guard. While Grayer's handles weren't the best, they are/were a lot better than Mar's. In today's game you need to be able to handle the ball/drive to be a successful 3.

Why couldn't we just have JDS at the 2 and put AJ on the bench? Definitely could still use his shooting.

Doesn’t explain Duquesne who not only hasn’t been since 1977, but whose facilities are in dire need of upgrading. Fordham also regularly gets good players to commit even if they are used as a springboard to a better school.
Location. Both schools are in a real city and not a suburb like Mason.

We have a good shot at him if backs out of Nebraska.

So could Kentucky. Or any school. Ever.
Ehh, before last season we had a general idea of who the starters would be. This upcoming season is anyone’s guess outside of Kier. No one took a leap in their game and solidity a starting role for next season.

I would argue Greene did. And Miller.

Going to be hard to upgrade through recruiting with 0 available scholarships though.

We lost one player from last year's team. You have two choices, the way I see it

1) You can shift Green or Kier to Otis' spot to make room for Miller and Mar to start together (Kier, Greene, Miller, Mar, Calixte) or

2) You insert Hartwell and roll with the other starting 4 for the last quarter of the season (Hartwell, Greene, Kier, Miller, Calixte).

Boyd stays the 6th man off the bench.

I mean, unless something drastic happens, like a returning player explodes (Boyd/Reuter/JDS) or Xavier Johnson or Daddy Haidara just come int ready to go, I think that's what you'll see.

Unless DP does more to disrupt opposing teams offenses, it wont matter who starts bc they will under perform again. Enough of this "hope they miss" type defense.

Next year A10 could have 3-4 teams in the dance. Its terribly upsetting that my gut tells me we wont be one of them.
