As such, we and university officials have taken deliberate and purposeful steps to fairly assess and adequately address this situation. As we have done since media reports first surfaced months ago, we are closely coordinating with the NCAA with every step. They have our full cooperation and we will continue to report to them all facts and information on this matter.

“All of us at LSU share the obligation to the integrity of this institution, as such we have suspended Head Coach Will Wade indefinitely until such time as we can ensure full compliance with the NCAA, as well as institutional policies and standards. Assistant coach Tony Benford will assume the duties of interim head coach.”

Serving as the Head Basketball Coach at LSU has been the honor of my life. I love this university and all it stands for. From day one, I’ve been focused on building a winning program made up of excellent coaches and staff and a team of first-rate student athletes.

“I cannot comment at this time on various media reports, except to say that they do not begin to tell the full story. I understand the University had to take action before all the facts are in, but I would ask everyone to withhold their judgment until the record is complete.

“To my players and coaches, I support you 100%, and I will be with you in spirit as the season progresses. Your best response to this is to narrow your focus and make sure the last part of the season is the strongest part!”

Maybe we are writing off Oduro prematurely. None of our current bigs can hit this type of mid range shot. vcu kept sagging off our bigs at the FT line and packing the paint to prevent our guards from cutting. Oduro to the rescue!

Didn’t you watch him in one game against Qudus? Might be a little unfair.

I still say he red-shirts. And I still say we better get a big in 2020 who can be an impact player. Whether he is a guy off the bench or our starter going forward, I don’t want to find out until 2021

How is Jordan Miller considered a "big"? Listed on Mason's roster as a guard, he plays big for his position, certainly. Jordan's more suited as a strong 3 or a role-playing 4 out of current necessity. Please clarify.

Agree this looks like a great shot that could help our offense. Since we use our big guy at the top of the key, it would be great if that big guy could fake the handoff and then pose a legit threat to knock down that shot from 16 feet. The defender couldn't sag, opening up cutting lanes down low. FINAL FOUR HERE WE COME!

Would love to see it but it honestly doesn’t make sense for us next year. I like seeing grad transfers when we are one piece of the puzzle away from making a run. I think we’re about 3-4 pieces away, id rather see us bring in a true freshman.
