As expected. We are not in Jahmir Young’s Final 5. Charlotte, Hofstra, LaSalle, Boston College and ODU.

Looks like Chereef Knox is going to make his college decision on October 15th, which just so happens to be my birthday.

Should we expect any A10 freshman to have an immediate impact?

Expect? No. Can they? Grady did. I would argue that Mar quietly did at times. There are probably one or two others across the league I’m forgetting.

Otis and Jaire certainly did. So did Go.

It’s going to be harder in the future assuming the staff continues to recruit well and we don’t have massive holes in the roster.

This was the all-freshman team last year: Grant Golden, Kellan Grady, Eric Williams Jr., Hasahn French, Jalen Crutcher.

Mar definitely made an impact. But it depends on what you mean by "impact." I'd argue Calixte, Wilson, and Greene all made an impact to varying degrees during their freshman season, some more immediate than others.

But, yes, we shouldn't "expect" any freshman to have an immediate impact, and at this point we don't "need" them to either.

I feel like there are always a couple kids that impress as Freshmen.
If I’d had to pick one I’d say Jermaine Harris a bigman at Rhode Island, they graduated 5 seniors so they have minutes available and he was a highly recruited kid out of high school.

With Mason returning every minute of last years roster and adding Reuter, minutes are going to be limited for our Freshmen. I am looking forward to seeing some sharp shooting from Douglas-Stanley though.

I mean yeah obviously if you go back beyond last year the list expands. I would say in the context of the question that no, you can’t “expect” any freshman in the A10 to be instant impact (unless a team has snagged a five star.) It certainly happens though. But this isn’t the ACC and freshman aren’t there to carry the load.

I should have worded my question differently. Did any A10 school land a big time recruit?

Fordham big man (lord knows how)
St Joe's PG Bynum
Bonnies Big man that they stole from Jim B and Syracuse
Rhody Jermaine Harris
Biggest talent: St Louis Cart'eare Gordon who was a 5 star before he signed with St Louis and demoted him to a 4 star.... He is the real deal and should be their second best player his first season.

I wish we could have kept some of Hewitt's recruits.

The guy couldn't coach to save his life but he sure as heck could convince kids to come play for him and not develop.
