we owe monmouth one for poaching george papas. jerks.
We could now offer George Papas same deal Monmouth did if its not too late.

La Salle isn't too far a drive for him either. Let's hope Kimbrough wants to get away from home.Agreed, considering the amount of winning King Rice has done the last few years, plus the fact hes local to the school.
That said, I hope he comes to Mason, we could use him

I would think Dr G could be on the hot seat if they don't have a good year this year with all those transfers they've had the last two years and the way last year ended.
I'm on the hot seat?!?!? What the????
I am a huge fan of short rotations. This isn't the NBA. The season is relatively short, and I think players tend to step up when they know there is no other solution but them.Forget Papas, we always do more with less. Barring injuries, I believe most teams perform better with just the right mix in a shorter rotation anyway.
Never regret losing a player/recruit, make them regret for not sticking with us!!!

just my two cents from my keyboard.
Agreed. These guys are young and can run all day. And the last three guys on the roster never play other than in blowouts anyhow.
Would like to have Karmari to be at 10 because we really can't afford injuries, but can't do much about that at this point.
The other thing that happens is you depend on everyone on the roster to bring it every game. So, if a guy isn't ready (like potentially Calixte this year, or Temara or Relvao last year), or if they get into a slump (like at times Grayer and Otis), or if someone gets suspended for whatever reason you get screwed.
That's called sport.
It makes me a little nervous to depend on Relvao's knees to hold up with increased minutes and Calixte to be able to absorb the big man minutes if they don't. Otherwise, we have to go small and then end up playing guys out of their natural positions and wear thinner in the back court. But, in Dave I trust.Lack of depth is what it's called when you are being forced to rely on freshman to play big minutes and contribute like veterans every night.

All of this makes me go into the year with VERY modest expectations. If we finish .500 overall and 9 - 9 in the A10 I will consider the year to be acceptable. 2018 -2019 we'd better finish in the top 3 and go to the NCAA. I have faith in Dave and hope that he will surpass my expectations this year. This is my concern, too, with Calixte. But also AJ and Mar...as high as I am on them, neither has played a minute of college basketball yet, and if they aren't effective right away and we have to go with Otis, Boyd, Grayer, and Kier at the 1-4, you've got no one to come off the bench.
