St. John's PG Tre Wood will take official visit to Mason on September 15.

He's also set visits to UMass and vcu.

Pretty obvious at this point we have one scholarship set aside for a PG in the 2018 class and the first one to commit gets it.

Adams has set official visits with Wyoming and Rhode Island.. to go along with Georgia and I believe Georgia Tech.

Why he would pick Rhody is beyond me. They are absolutely set at the PG spot for the next four years with Dowtin and Russell.

I see GT as the biggest threat if they really want him. Pastner is a good recruiter and it's tough for kids to pass on a chance to play in the ACC.

Agreed.

In addition, there is no way that Hurley is the coach at URI in five years. Like his brother, he will move on to a bigger program.

I think URI is a better job than Arizona St, but you're right, he shouldn't be there too much longer.

If they are successful -- win A-10, win at least one game in NCAAs -- I wouldn't be surprised to see Hurley bounce after the upcoming season.

Not only does URI lose Matthews, which is huge, but also Terrell, Garrett and Robinson.

Could be a situation like Dayton and vcu just went through where you lose a big senior class and the coach sees it as the perfect time to cash in his chips.

Been labeled the quickest PG in the DMV area, and vcu is his last visit. No chance he comes here to play slow ball with Paulsen.

He's a much better coach than his brother Bobby.

Hey Trolly McTrollerson, Wood's vcu visit isn't a lock to happen. They're in the final 2 with another PG who is down to vcu and Boise State, and they're not taking more than one PG in 2018 because they only have two scholarships available.

But as a vcu fan I'm sure you already know that.

I would never leave a program that has all the pieces in place to compete at the highest level in the league f.

Well just like us, they will actively recruit despite the available scholarships because everyone knows there will be a transfer or two

True, but they're not going to take two PGs in the 2018 class when they already have two underclass PGs on their roster.

They have one spot for a PG just like we do. And their spot may be spoken for before Wood's visit.

Apparently he just joined twitter and hes down to Mason ODU vcu and a SF school (not sure which school it is)-per his tweet

I'd be surprised if hes going to commit this early but hey whatever works- he may want to get recruiting over with and enjoy the final two years of HS or something of that nature.
