2018 Recruiting

I would love to have him. Seems like a PG who can score (which we need until we find a 2 who can consistently bury shots) and would have a chip on his shoulder towards a rival conference opponent.
You're not of the belief that Javon Greene is a bucket-getter?

Possibly. Just haven't seen him at this level. Might cut it in the A10, might not. But we'll get this season to find out what kind of 2018/2019 PG we need.

True. I'm not worried too much about landing a PG for 2018. I think it may actually be beneficial to hold out on that position until 2019, when there's a little more buzz around our program (in Dave we Trust!) and more playing time is on the horizon. Wings are often easier to land due to the number of talented kids at that position, and we could probably benefit the most from trying to pick up a couple of bigs. Maybe a project center and another in the Calixte mold with a college-ready game/body. On that note, I'm excited to see Calixte play this season, and would venture to guess he's starting at the 5 at some point soon.

Since kids commit in October you’re assuming we have a good year this year. We may, but I wouldn’t bank on it. I think 18-19 is the year. But who knows. Things are weird in college basketball. Maybe we grab a transfer, maybe we get lucky and get Harris.

Just a hunch, but probably a long shot to land a kid that we were never recruiting... if it was someone we were after before he committed to URI, then maybe (sorry, I'm a little on edge this morning because of the Nats).

Maybe, but it looks like his two other offers already filled their 2018 PG spots. Maybe he's confident he can go to UDel and win a spot, but Temple has three 3 star PG's (including a 2018 one who committed after Harris committed to URI). Might be some room to open his recruiting.

A little unusual to not hear any recruiting buzz after a midnight madness.

Aaron Johnson-Cash is talking about making a decision soon. I know he visited Mason at one point. He's listed at 6'7, so he'd add some size to this class.
