Just read this from Brendan Adams mom. Do you think us recruiting over people could leave a stain in future recruits mind? I know the talent wasn't good enough to compete in the A10 for most of the players or the coaching change. https://www.lifeoutsidethe94.com/single-post/2017/09/16/College-Recruiting-and-Visits-Part-3
I don't think we recruit over any of our players. We bring in kids to compete for spots and some kids just can't take that. vcu on the other hand def recruits over their current players. They constantly give more scholarships than they have so forcing the transfers. I'm not sure why any player would want to walk into that.

I don't think so, either. Let's keep in mind that Otis will be a senior next year and there is a need for a PG regardless. Now, who wins the starting job is up for grabs (whether it's Greene, or Kier, or a new player). Paulsen has also shown a willingness to start or play multiple PGs at the same time (Otis and Moore), so whoever comes in as a PG in 2018 will have all the opportunity in the world to earn playing time.

Also, Paulsen is definitely a "coach them up" kind of guy.

Can't see anyone can accuse Paulsen of doing anything untoward when we go into this season with 3 open scholarships and 9 eligible players.

If anything, he could have oversigned in the 2017 class and forced out one or two of the 5 kids who transferred.

I think he did the ethical thing even if it left us a little short personnel-wise for the upcoming season.

When is adams announcing?

Reading his moms latest blog he’s not coming here. URI has a hell of a class coming in. I look forward to seeing what happens when Hurley takes a P5 job after this season.

I believe under Paulsen so far our recruiting classes are getting stronger and will continue to as we become contenders in the A-10. Kids like to play for good teams, teams that make the NCAA tournament. Once we get back to doing that kids like Adams will start picking us. Within the next 2 years we will have new facilities for the athletes(locker rooms, practice facility) and should be competing at the top of the A-10.

One of the things Brendan’s Mom mentioned was a top priority for their family in making a decision was winning/NCAA Tournament potential, exposure, conference (final rankings in the conference over the last few years)

Cool. How you spend your weekend is all up to you bro. I now feel even more like a loser for checking in here.
And why university's like vcu and Rhode Island have fans that go the extra mile to show love to recruits and post several pages a day. We sit here bashing the few post we get a day. 5 minutes to check a message board and post or reading a blog is so below you. Then keep it moving or don't reply.

Tre Wood got a ton of UMass love on twitter leading up to his decision. Like it or not, it might've made a difference.
