Would you say the staff is going to focus the remaining 2017 scholarship almost exclusively on a PG, assuming (and hoping) that Wilson ends up committing in the next few days?
That is affirmative.

Do you know who our top targets are at the moment? That is affirmative.

I agree. I don't have tremendous faith in Danny Dixon being a solid contributor next year but I do hope for the best. I think Temara will come in and surprise some of us. But we do play in the A10 which is a guard heavy league top to bottom. We should be fine as long as Jalen doesn't get 3 fouls in 3 minutes like last yearI still have nagging concerns about the interior. It's just Jalen and a bunch of guys with not much experience the upcoming year. I haven't seen them play though obviously - hoping Temera, etc. are capable of contributing right off the bat. Plus some of our guards can get in and rebound. We're gonna miss the one and done presence of Shevon though.
Dixon belongs in D3. Just kidding kinda, I just want to see some reactions. The offseason is so boring!
I like Kam a lot, he gives 110% every time he gets minutes... but bottom line he is not the most skilled. With DP recruiting skilled two's and Kam not being the strongest ball handler we may see a bunch of DNP's if the freshman play hard and give it their all this year. Relvao and Temara have got to be better than Dixon or we may have a long year inside if Jalen gets in foul trouble or injured.I believe that Relvao will be better offensively than Dixon, simply based off of highlight tapes. It seems like he was at least comfortable with stepping back and shooting a mid-range jumper. As many have said above, Dixon has to get stronger. He seemed completely outmatched from a physicality standpoint last year and also seemed to struggle with the speed of the game.
Kam does have the ability to play strong defense and seems like a "do whatever I can to win" type of player. Maybe he can spell Otis from time to time at the 1 guard this year if he has the ball handling ability?
I mean I can certainly slow my roll. But Kam was easily the worst player that had any sort of playing time last year. I would even say Dixon looked more comfortable out there than Kam and Dixon was completely frantic whenever the ball got near him. I assume you study their practices so I am excited to see if you are right. If Kam is the first guard off the bench, this recruiting class I am excited about is not good...If Kam can take his play from the practice court to games, don't be surprised if he plays A LOT this season.
Everything I'm hearing is that he is working his a** off in the gym and feeling a lot more confident in his game overall.
Everyone who assumes the three freshmen will bump him down the depth chart into transfer land needs to slow their roll.
We're no longer in a position where we have to accept freshman mistakes because we have no other options. These kids are all going to be good players, but none are slam-dunks to play right away with more experienced guys ahead of them.
Otis, Marquise and Jaire are all going to play major minutes and I won't be surprised at all if Kam is the first guard off the bench.
No one's mentioned Relvao. It is easy to not project much for him this year since we haven't seen him play at all, but I like to think he will play more than Dixon.

I totally get what you're saying, but other than being able to guard the point guard and hustling 100% what spot does he have that is at all secure. If Kier, Boyd (also a hustler and excellent defender I have heard), or Newman can make a free throw 1 out of 4 times they are automatically more valuable than Kam. The truth hurts sometimes but out of all the freshman last year only he looked like he totally didn't ever belong on the court. I hope I am dead wrongI am also very excited to see what these kids can do, but the fact remains that they'll be freshmen and likely will need some time to acclimate to the college game.
It's also a different situation than the one Otis, Jaire and DeAndre walked into. Those guys had to play right away because we had nobody else; when they had freshman moments we usually got smoked.
Kam is an excellent defender, which will keep him in the coaches' good graces. He obviously didn't shoot the ball well last season, but I'm looking for a big improvement as the game slows down for him.
He's not just going to sit there and let the freshmen have his spot. If they can take it, good on them.
