Not even close... Calixte tore his ACL and MCL while running a 40-yard dash with Darrel Green.Obviously he's not coming to Mason

Isn't tomorrow the first day to sign with a school. I guess we'll hear if we've landed anyone.

I'm on the Frederick bandwagon. I hope (im sure) the staff is looking at other experienced big guys that can start/play big minutes right away. I'd really prefer a grad transfer, but i'll gladly take a juco.We still gotta wait for Frederick's official visit on the 21st lol

Why not get both Frederick and Calixte? I feel like we need to throw more options to solve for the 4/5 position than adding another guard
Oh i'd love to get both, but Frederick (or another experienced big) is the priority in my opinion. Why not get both Frederick and Calixte? I feel like we need to throw more options to solve for the 4/5 position than adding another guard
I hope and assume we would take both, since we have 3 open schollies. Could even take both plus a grad transfer. Class breakdown:
Freshmen - Mar, Wilson, Greene and CALIXTE
Sophomores - Relvao, Kier, Newman, Boyd, Temara
Junior - Otis, Jaire, and FREDERICK
Senior - GRAD TRANSFER
Total - 13
Look at all that capitalized SIZE!

Probably the experience level and the team's need for it at the position. Frederick has played at a higher level compared to Calixte. They both could be the same though so who knows. It's the perception of a JUCO.So serious question, why the excitement over Frederick over Calixte for some here?
Both have similar offers and both are available at this stage of recruiting. One you can develop for four years though and the other two.
For me its because I think true freshman have a hard time transitioning at the college level as a Big. It generally takes a year to get acuminated to the level of play. High school bigs rarely play against people with equal size and athletic ability. So serious question, why the excitement over Frederick over Calixte for some here?

Definitely the idea of Frederick contributing right away. From what I've seen, Frederick is miles ahead in his offensive game. However, I'd rather have Calixte. I just love the kid's attitude and perspective.Probably the experience level and the team's need for it at the position. Frederick has played at a higher level compared to Calixte. Get robot knees for Relvao. Troy also posted a pic of his weight and it was like 243, I think he was 225 coming in.Definitely the idea of Frederick contributing right away. If we miss on both of them, I wonder what plan B is. I wouldn't think the staff would want to leave all 3 scholarships open.
