To the your point.. Jenkins will graduate along with Moore, thus leaving a frontcourt consisting of Dixon, Relvao, Temara and Abram if you count him as a front court player.

We must use the remaining scholarship for a big guy.. Either a freshman who Paulsen is confident he can develop in a year, or a JC transfer (like Shane Temara) who can step in right away and give you two years.

I don't have a problem rolling with those four plus whoever Paulsen recruits in 2017. You are that concerns that Dixon and Relvao won't be able to contribute after three years with these coaches?

Is jenkins coming back for his 5th year? Does he plan to enroll in grad school?

Duane Simpkins was on with Junks this morning talking hoops. In talking about how to project players, he mentioned he is recruiting a 17 year old sr who has a 6'7" dad and a 6'1" mom, but the kid is only 6'3" right now. any idea who it is?

Don't have any idea, but I remember David Robinson added some height AFTER being admitted to the Naval Academy.

Taking a total guess, but here is one Mason recruit according to Verbal Commits that is 6'3.

He also was offered two months ago so its fairly recent.

Seems like Paulsen is going to wait to see what the transfer market has to offer. Really hoping he finds a big guy who can contribute immediately.

I had a brief exchange with Bruno Solomun's dad recently and he said that Bruno is waiting for a response from Mason.

That was my sense as well ... the staff is waiting to see if they can add a grad transfer instead of having 11 freshmen/sophomores next season.

Also just speculating here, but the fact that they haven't accepted a commitment from Solomun yet seems to be a positive signal about Temara; if there were still questions about whether he will be available in 2016-17, I highly doubt the staff would pass on an opportunity to sign another skilled big who clearly wants to play at Mason.

Wish we could take Solomun, Temara, a JUCO big and get rid of Dixon or Murrell.

Disagree.

I don't see either guy becoming a star, but as they're willing to work and fill the roles DP has for them, I do think both Dixon and Murrell have something to offer a winning team.

Not all freshmen develop as quickly as Otis and Jaire did.

In the history of our program, we've had far more freshmen put up stats like Dixon and Murrell than Livingston and Grayer.

Doesn't mean they can't improve and grow into solid rotation players.

Also, if you ditch Murrell you're going to rely on three freshman as your primary off the bench guards...and who knows how they'll adjust to the college game (see Murrell). At least Murrell can play halfway decent defense.

Let's have the competition and see who earns that playing time (my gut says Murrell might be transferring out after next season, but he might out play all three freshman so who knows).

p.s. I still think people don't realize how rare it is for A-10 teams to have dominant bigs. There are a few forwards who will probably push our guys around (I mean, is anyone really scared of Allie-Cox? And he'll be one of the best forwards in the league next year), but for the most part, these are really (really, really) guard heavy teams.

p.p.s. Relvao is going to give us solid minutes, I guarantee it. And Temara is going to turn some heads. Everyone needs to calm it down on the we need half our roster to be post players.

Does anybody else feel like he's flying way under the radar? Like, athletic 6'9 kids who aren't beanpoles and can shoot a little bit don't grown on trees.

I'm guessing his high school conference isn't very good in Northern NY and he hasn't really done much in the AAU circuit with the Albany City Rocks in 2015 which would make sense why he was over looked. Looks like a late bloomer. He looks like an absolute beast in all his videos.
