That was my reaction. While it could be possible, you just had an amazing season the SC said "no thanks."

Again the lower conference paradox....you can lose every game all season, win the conference tourney and have a better reward than being ball busters all season, losing in your conference tournament and being sent to the NIT or less....

I also laugh at the tradition and history of Murray State. Really? I mean I remember my grandpa telling me about the favorite games he watched as a kid, Carolina-Duke, UCLA-Texas, Murray Something against Someone Else.....

They probably would say it was no big deal as Murray State would be destination one for any blue chip coach as it is one year away from a national championship.

Now that was funny. I would almost want Prohm even if he wasn't any good just to see what a couple of their posters would say.

It is funny, and sad, how we have begun to use hiring Hewitt as the pox we wish upon our worst enemies.

These guys are nuts....go undefeated in their league, lose a nail bitter in the conference final and don't even sniff an at-large bid. While I have serious doubts about Prohm coming here, these fans are kidding themselves if they think they can really make a run a national title.

They lost me when they talked about hunting and fishing as a selling point for him to stay.

I don't think Hewitt would get the job. With all their history and tradition, I could see Calipari leaving Kentucky for Murray State.

I actually empathize with the Murray State fans. If Prohm was our coach and other schools were sniffing around, I think we'd all be just as territorial as they are.

It's different for us because we've spent the better part of the last three years hoping desperately that somebody, anybody would take our dumbass coach off our hands.

I don't think we'd be dumb enough to compare our program with UNC, Duke, etc like one of them did in his National Title rant. Guy is insane

Had they not choked against UNC in the 2006 tournament they'd have been our second round opponent. Glad we didn't have to face a powerhouse like them and got a lucky draw with North Carolina.

To be fair, historically they have been to the NCAAs pretty often, 7 times thru the 90s, now averaging about every 3rd year. So I understand why they feel they have more tradition than we do, as even I can admit, we have very little sense of tradition here...

They've never been out of the round of 32, though, so that's just dominating a bad conference.

I will say, though, that it is kind of ironic that an area as rich in history as Northern Virginia has so little sense of tradition.

Put me down with the naysayers who don't think we get him. I can see, though, at least making a move at Prohm (who doesn't) and Will Brown. If those two can't be get, go get Scott Cherry. Cherry's resume destroys Baggett's, and even though Young and Moton have been to the tournament, they've basically been in one place their whole careers -- and Young took 7 seasons to post a winning season. Ignore the Parker clown show. Scott bleeping Cherry.
