Not assuming anything, but if Tony thought he was a legit candidate for another job I don’t think he’d be bringing guys in to visit — particularly because none of them are clearly on a level where he could take them with him to a place like Maryland.

Feels pretty indicative of a coach who is planning to be at Mason for at least one more season.

Let’s hope. We need a Shaka Smart, who turned down several P4 jobs (Illinois, UCLA) before leaving for Texas and really solidified that program Post Final Four. All this jumping at the first opportunity will get Mason nowhere

But isn’t money the reality nowadays? If a guy wants to upgrade and get paid, unless we can counter or match it’s tough to appeal based on non fiscal factors.

Yes, we all need to be huge fans of Gtown (Ed Cooley) and UMD (Buzz Williams) going forward as they are both the biggest (obvious) threats to potentially lure Tony away.
