Where Are They Now?

Yeah- I'll be interested to see how JDS does for Manhattan. Will he light it up and make us be gut punched is the question. MAAC might be better for him in terms of pace and ability. Hope he does well.
I kinda think it's the wrong move for him to play right away, even transferring down. I thought he would really benefit by sitting out a year to give him some more time to let the game slow down a bit. But it will be really interesting comparison to see if Mahattan can get out of him what Mason couldn't.

I agree with you, but for a different reason. Who knows what this year will look like. Bubble? OOC? Tourney? Do you really want to burn a year of eligibility if there are only 20 games and no tourney? Of all the years to sit out, this would be the one.

Agreed. It appeared to me that he always seemed to feel the need to move at 100 mph. I got the feeling he never really relaxed and learned to let things come to him. Now that he has left us he'll average 25 a game and shoot 70% from three. The DP curse lives on.

We have added a new podcast to our network, the Expat Hoops Podcast. Recently there’s been some dialogue about Mason not doing a great job incorporating some former players, we’re stepping in. Andy and Tony, the 2 hosts, will feature Mason players who played or are still playing professionally overseas. They will also chat with former foes as well from the CAA and A10. Here’s both the intro and their first ever interview with Tony Skinn.

Give us feedback! For first timers, these dudes hit it out the park. Enjoy!

Tony Skinn taught Harden the step back.

Ike Tate is coming back as a graduate manager this year. LETTTS GOOOO!!! Hopefully that will help build the bridge with former Patriots and Paulsen’s staff which both former players and fans have criticized.

Can definitely see him in coaching -- now, can he teach our guards how to lock down the perimeter?

Very happy to see Tate back at Mason as a Grad Manager. He embraced his role senior year and it really paid off. I am hoping he can help a lot.

And I agree with that the staff has been upgraded. I think adding MoJo adds a lot of nice A-10 and local experience to the puzzle, promoting Simpkins was very important as well.

Its time for the staff to make their move the next year or two, especially on the court. They failed in year 4 and that cannot happen again.

lol you’re giving him two more years lol. Roster will Never be better for us to win with than this season. This is the only roster he has had that doesn’t make me feel totally underwhelmed. No top 4 this year and go back to Bucknell. Next year will be semi rebuilding unless he totally switches up his thoughts on transfers

If he misses out on Castro on top of Johnson and Reynolds, he better dip into the transfer market and find a 2 and a 4 who can replace Javon and AJ, even if for just a year.

But it is possible that sophomores Kolek, Polite, Frazier, and Henry will be good enough to fill in for losing Calixte, AJ, Boyd, and Javon.

You're looking too far into my post my friend.

I said him and the staff need to make moves the next year or two. I never said he needs the next two years to make a move or needs more time etc. The time is now. If he doesn't get it done in the next year or year after its time to move in another direction, but I'm skeptical that Mason will do that with this current environment and for 1000s of reasons I've already iterated and beaten the horse on.

Hope that makes more sense. If not, I can clarify.

Good luck with that. If any of those 4 turn into half of what AJ and Javon were count Paulsen lucky as hell. I hope we have two all conference caliber dudes as freshman right now I really do.
