Where Are They Now?

Shevon Thompson was deactivated again this week, but that doesn't mean much - they can only carry a certain number of players and Shevon is still injured. So, they deactivate him every time they need to clear a spot. I'm very interested to see what happens when he is better. The D-League still just isn't working like they hope it will someday (a la Minor League Baseball), but I would love to see him be one of the few success stories where staying in the US for $25,000 a year actually pays off in an NBA stint. He's more likely to be one of the 90-something percent of D-Leaguers who end up realizing it was a mistake and going overseas and making actual money.

It is a coincident you posted this today? Today is the 22nd anniversary of Keri dropping 51 on East Carolina. I believe that's still the Patriot Center/EBA single game record, but there's no one better than you to confirm that.

You are correct that she holds the women's record in the arena (the most points scored by an individual in the arena was 53, Bobby Aguirre, Macalester, 11/29/94) - see https://s3.amazonaws.com/sidearm.si...ts/2016/10/10/2015_16_Updated_Record_Book.pdf.

Patriot Center Records

INDIVIDUAL RECORDS, GEORGE MASON PLAYERS
Most Points: 51-Keri Chaconas vs. East Carolina, 2/17/95

And, for those posters who want to hang #22 jersey from the rafters, let's not forget Keri Chaconas from Annandale.

BTW, you should post more often!

I was pleasantly surprised to see Shevon play a lot of minutes for Erie tonight. I am a season ticket holder for the other team so I had to be subtle in my cheering for him, but he had a good game. 23 points. Looked very tired at times; is finally playing again after a long injury break and his conditioning looked poor. But his body looked good. Could still put on 20 pounds, but not bad. Team definitely played better when he was in. Ended up fouling out. Some of the fouls seems to be due to exhaustion.

Shevon showing some moves and touch on that highlight that he definitely has developed over the past year.

I was pleasantly surprised by his offensive touch. Also had a beautiful free throw stroke and was hitting 3s during warm-ups. But man was he gassed throughout the game. Even asked coach to take him out twice. He didn't start but played more than the starter (I think. Didn't get a stat sheet but it sure felt like he was in most of the game)

As if we needed it, more evidence that Hewitt can spot talent -- he just has no earthly idea how to coach it.

Former George Mason guard Cameron Long, source tells me, negotiating a deal to sign with Maccabi Rishon in Israel.

Pablo, thank you for posting these updates. I'm not on twitter and the school doesn't provide jack for information about patriots in the pros (see way outdated link that hasn't been updated in years: http://gomason.com/documents/2016/10/4/Patriots_in_the_Pros.pdf), I appreciate knowing where and what everyone is doing. Still hopeful to have a vacation turn out to be in the same place/time as when someone is playing so my wife and I can go to a game decked out in Mason gear.
